MAC WISEMAN AND DRAKE WHITE CONNECT THE "DOT" AT THE GRAND OLE OPRY

    September 30, 2014 0 Comments

Connecting the “dot” over the weekend, Country Music Hall of Fame inductee MAC WISEMAN (Wrinked Records) and soulful singer/songwriter DRAKE WHITE serendipitously met backstage during performances at the Grand Ole Opry. The legendary Dot Records label was first established in 1950 and revived earlier this year under the Big Machine Label Group umbrella. Just as when Wiseman spearheaded, produced and recorded for Dot’s Country division, the label’s mission continues to be finding, developing and marketing great music across genres. White, who was named one of the Billboard Top 10 Country Artists to Watch, was signed in June.

MADDIE & TAE MOVE CENTER STAGE FOR THEIR GRAND OLE OPRY DEBUT

    September 25, 2014 0 Comments

Excitedly sauntering onto the legendary stage, MADDIE & TAE made their Grand Ole Opry debut Tuesday night (9/23) and helped celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Country Cares for St. Jude Kids. The dynamic female duo, who recently performed on the Late Show with David Letterman, belted out their witty Top 20-and-rising debut single “Girl In A Country Song” in front of a full house.

Maddie summed up the night noting, “this moment is a dream … to be on the Opry stage where so many of our musical idols like Lee Ann Womack and Vince Gill have stood is just unreal.”

“And don’t forget the great duos like The Judds or Brooks & Dunn,” Tae added jovially. “As songwriters, this truly is an awesome and gratifying experience for the Grand Ole Opry to invite us to perform.”

Maddie & Tae previewed more of their unique sound with “After the Storm Blows Thru,” which the young talents penned in addition to “Girl In A Country Song.” Treating the audience to a diverse set, the newcomers showcased the gumption and refreshing sound that has surrounded their recent success, including kudos from Opry member Brad Paisley.

“The Darlings of Nashville” as dubbed by TODAY’s Hoda Kotb, will spread their fresh perspectives this fall as they promote the release of Maddie & Tae EP on November 4. The bubbly songstresses notch another milestone as the first release for their newly established label, Dot Records.
