ACM New Male Vocalist Brantley Gilbert wrapped up the final weekend of his HELL ON WHEELS TOUR with a recording-breaking accomplishment -- his largest crowd to date. Over 10,000 members of the BG Nation showed up to support the Country rocker on the final stop of his first headlining tour in Columbus, OH on Saturday night (4/27).
Boasting a trail of sold–out arena dates and shattered merchandise records, the massive weekend also concluded with a sold-out show Friday (4/26) night in Roanoke, VA.
The accomplishments are not lost on Gilbert, who said, "Man, the BG Nation really showed up this weekend to send us out with a bang.” He continued, “I couldn’t be more proud of everyone involved for making my first headlining tour one to remember. I can’t wait to get out on the road with Tim [McGraw] this summer and continue the fun.”
Music critics have often noted the relationship Gilbert shares with his fans…
“And the audience, which sold out the room, loved it. They sang along to the hits, from ‘My Kind of Party’ and ‘Dirt Road Anthem’ which Gilbert wrote […] to Gilbert’s own No. 1’s, “Country Must Be Country Wide”and “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do.” – The Roanoke Times
“The young, couples-dominated crowd (more than a few wearing T-shirts that read, ‘Stone cold country by the grace of God’) sang along to every song, prompting Gilbert to remove his cap and say,“’God bless you.’” – The Columbus Dispatch
Gilbert will kick off Tim McGraw’s TWO LANES OF FREEDOM 2013 TOUR next week with shows in Birmingham, AL (5/2); Charlotte, NC (5/3) and Raleigh, NC (5/4). For additional tour dates and more, visit www.BrantleyGilbert.com.

ACM New Male Vocalist winner Brantley Gilbert will perform in Europe for the first time with shows at Glasgow’s Oran Mor tomorrow (3/15) and Manchester’s Club Academy Saturday (3/16). He will wrap up the trek on Sunday (3/17) at London’s O2 Arena for the Country 2 Country Festival, which also features Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Vince Gill, Little Big Town and more. The hit singer/songwriter is slated to perform the GOLD-certified #1 singles “Country Must Be Country Wide” and “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do” as well as a few new tunes from his upcoming album, due later this year.
Following the UK stops, Gilbert will continue his journey overseas with his first USO tour. He will perform four concerts and meet with the military troops and their families. In addition, Military ID holders who attend the Glasgow and Manchester shows will have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive meet & greet with Gilbert.
“Man you know we sing about Country being Country wide, but we are taking it to the next level this time,” said Gilbert. “I’m excited to meet all of the Country fans in Europe. We will have a blast… and performing for the troops… man I couldn’t be more excited about that. I have so much respect for what our service men and women do every day. To have the chance to perform for them while they are actively serving our Country couldn’t make me more proud to have this opportunity.”
The Georgia native continually supports the military and recently partnered with RAM Trucks as part of its RAM JAM series, auctioning off his truck in support of the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA). On Veteran’s Day he joined Musicians On Call at the Nashville Veteran’s Hospital and performed for patients. Watch a portion of the special visit here.
Brantley Gilbert kicked off the second leg of his HELL ON WHEELS TOUR with a bang. He and special guest Kip Moore will perform to full houses in Tulsa, OK (2/22) and Thackerville, OK (2/23).
Music critics have noted the close connection Brantley maintains with his fans during the live performances:
The Kansas City Star notes, “…what he does say in his blue-collar way resonates with fans, an even mix of males and females, from their 20s to their 40s. That big crowd hooted and hollered and sang through much of it, from the love ballads like “Saving Amy” to the Southern rock anthems like ’G.R.I.T.S.’”
Gilbert’s set includes an array of music from his rowdy hits “Country Must Be Country Wide” and “Kick It In The Sticks” to the softer #1 “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do” and “More Than Miles.” Fans have also been treated to a few new songs, slated for Gilbert’s next album later this year.

Today, Mountain Dew taps into its southern roots and welcomes one of country music’s hottest emerging acts, Brantley Gilbert, into the DEW family. Embracing the brand’s Tennessee history and one-of-a-kind flavor, the new partnership is a perfect fit with the hit singer/songwriter’s high-energy live shows and authentic lyrics.
The Academy of Country Music (ACM) New Male Vocalist nominee has sold over 3.5 million tracks to date from both his debut album, A MODERN DAY PRODIGAL SON, as well as his current, Gold-certified HALFWAY TO HEAVEN DELUXE (The Valory Music Co.). “I have been a fan of Mountain Dew for as long as I can remember,” said Gilbert. “I’m honored to be able to partner up with the DEW family for some exciting projects this year.”
“Being part of the DEW family means making a style that’s all your own, and never conforming to a traditional mold,” said Greg Lyons, Mountain Dew’s VP of Marketing. “Brantley exemplifies all that DEW stands for – making country music that is true to its rebel roots, in very much the same way that the brand stays true to its own. We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Brantley into the DEW Nation, and hope our fans will join us in helping him rock.”
