JUSTIN MOORE AND SCOTT BORCHETTA JOINTLY NAMED HUMANITARIAN OF THE YEAR BY THE ARMED FORCES FOUNDATION

    April 11, 2014 0 Comments

The Armed Forces Foundation (AFF) jointly named ACM New Artist of the Year Justin Moore and BMLG President/CEO Scott Borchetta the “Congressman Bill and Beverly Young Humanitarian of the Year” for their service and commitment to the morale and welfare of military families through the Crown Royal “Your Hero’s Name Here” contest and other endeavors. The pair were honored during the 10th annual Congressional Gala in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday night (4/9).

“The work that Patricia Driscoll and the Armed Forces Foundation is doing is extraordinary – and unfortunately – beyond necessary. She and the AFF have identified the real challenges that so many of our troops go through upon their reentry into society. This is the kind of organization that the Big Machine Label Group and I will always support,” said Borchetta.

“Although extremely grateful, I feel a little uncomfortable being honored at an event where there are decorated war heroes present. I feel that my contributions are much less significant than theirs … they are the true American heroes,” stated Moore. “However, I’m thrilled to know that what I do with the AFF has helped, and that it is appreciated by all. Both of my grandpas served in our military and they, along with my parents, instilled in me what our servicemen and women mean to us. It was an honor to tell some of them face to face last night. God bless our troops and God bless America.”

The special ceremony brought together more than 75 Members of Congress to help honor our nation’s service members, veterans, and their families – many recovering at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Fort Belvoir’s Warrior Transition Brigade, and from other local installations. Throughout the event, AFF recognized Cessna and individuals for their commitment to the Foundation’s motto of “Serving those who Serve.” Celebrity supporters in attendance included NASCAR driver Kurt Busch, comedian Ron White, chef Anne Burrell, Republic Nashville recording artist Cassadee Pope, Washington Redskin Rob Jackson, among others. Once again, Fox & Friends’ Brian Kilmeade emceed the evening and Foundation President Patricia Driscoll urged those in the room to help those suffering from the invisible wounds.

About the Armed Forces Foundation The Armed Forces Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to supporting and advocating for active-duty military personnel, National Guardsmen, Reservists, military families, and veterans. The AFF returns 95 cents of every dollar raised to service members and their families through our programs. Since 2001, the AFF has provided more than $95 million in assistance by covering travel, hotel rooms, home mortgages, car payments and everyday bills for families to be able to stay at their loved ones’ sides during treatment and recovery from wounds suffered during war. With the launch of our Help Save Our Troops campaign, the AFF proactively educates Americans about the hidden wounds of war, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and advocates for those troops and veterans who have suffered these hidden wounds. The ultimate goal of Help Save Our Troops is to reduce military suicides. Through this campaign, the AFF provides counseling services for military families, including children, grants for therapy and addiction counseling, and runs a variety of recreation group therapy programs to boost morale amongst service members, veterans, and their families.

THE BAND PERRY, JUSTIN MOORE, BRANTLEY GILBERT, DANIELLE BRADBERY & MOTLEY CRUE OFFER FULL-THROTTLE EXPERIENCE AT CRS

    February 20, 2014 0 Comments

While still recovering from Tuesday’s party, the Big Machine Label Group and CMT Radio rallied VIP guests for night two of Country Radio Seminar (CRS) at Nashville’s Marathon Music Works. BMLG President/CEO Scott Borchetta and CMT Radio’s Cody Alan once again welcomed the massive crowd for an unforgettable experience.

Music execs and radio partners were entertained with a full-throttle experience of BMLG talent and a few surprises. Dynamic sibling trio The Band Perry started the show, introducing their driving next single “Chainsaw” followed by newcomer Danielle Bradbery, who showcased her killer pipes on songs from her debut album. ACM New Artist of the Year nominee Justin Moore kept the energy up with “Lettin’ The Night Roll” before bringing Vince Neil of Motley Crue to the stage for the band’s “Home Sweet Home.” The excitement continued with Brantley Gilbert joining on “Wild Side.” Borchetta brought Vince back to the stage as everyone belted out “Kickstart My Heart.” The unlikely pairings were just a preview of the forthcoming Country Tribute to Motley Crue, slated for release this Summer on Big Machine Records. Eliciting more crowd participation, Brantley closed out the evening with a rowdy set featuring his latest single “Bottoms Up.”

“I'm thrilled to marry two things that I love together, Country music and the Arkansas Razorbacks,” Justin said. “There is no better place for me to play on a Friday night than my home state of Arkansas and no better place to be on a Saturday than up on the hill. “The fact that we can do both at the same time, is very cool. Not to mention, it coincides with the album coming out. Can't wait to call the Hogs!”

“We are pleased to help kick off the University of Arkansas’ Family Weekend with a free concert by Arkansan Justin Moore,” Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Jeff Long said. “We appreciate Justin coming to be a part of this special weekend that brings families together for a variety of activities throughout campus. Justin, who was raised in Poyen and currently resides in Little Rock, will perform songs from his first two GOLD-certified albums, JUSTIN MOORE and OUTLAWS LIKE ME, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart. The projects include three #1 hits – “Small Town USA,” “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away” and “Til’ My Last Day” – many of which he co-wrote from experiences in Arkansas. He will also debut new music from his upcoming album OFF THE BEATEN PATH, including his latest Top 10 “Point At You,” slated for release on 9/17. Justin will also stick around after Friday night’s concert to sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans.

Further displaying some homestate pride, Justin and Razorback Athletics are teaming to offer custom merchandise. An exclusive package (limited edition CD, official Razorback branded Justin Moore t-shirt) will also be available in the tent outside of Hog Heaven at Bud Walton Arena.

Throughout his career, Justin has sold nearly five million digital downloads and his music has been featured on the ABC hit drama “NASHVILLE,” Hannity & Colmes and NFL Rewind. Justin Moore and Greg Bates Collaborate on Song to Honor "Heroes"

    July 11, 2013 0 Comments

Big Machine Records & Crown Royal are mixing music with philanthropy this summer and offering a free digital download of "Heroes." Performed by Justin Moore and penned by Country singer/songwriter and Republic Nashville artist Greg Bates. The tune is a tribute to hometown heroes like Samuel Deeds, a U.S. Marine who will be honored at the Brickyard Sprint Cup Series Race as part of Crown Royal’s annual "Your Hero's Name Here" program. Deeds was selected as the winner of this year’s contest in late June and therefore the title of this year’s race is officially: “Crown Royal Presents the Samuel Deeds 400 at the Brickyard Powered by BigMachineRecords.com”

Bates said he wrote the song “Heroes,” "to honor everyday people who don’t always get the credit and recognition that they deserve for their daily acts of heroism. I hope that this song makes people notice and appreciate the everyday HEROES in their own lives.”

Consumers 21 and over can visit CrownHeroesSong.com to download their complimentary copy of “Heroes." For every download redeemed between now and the Samuel Deeds 400 on July 28 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Crown Royal will donate one dollar to the Armed Forces Foundation (AFF).
