Adding some swing to his swagger, THOMAS RHETT landed on GOLF DIGEST’S Top 100 in Music list, which highlights artists who love hole-in-ones almost as much as a #1s. Watch the Georgia native play a few holes and give some tips at the Athens Country Club during TRue Life. The CMA New Artist of the Year nominee joins country superstars Vince Gill, Joe Don Rooney (Rascal Flatts), Toby Keith and Charles Kelley (Lady Antebellum), all ranking in the upper-echelon of the magazine’s list. Thomas Rhett frequents the links as often as he can, enjoying the challenges of new and different courses while on the road. This fall, the “Make Me Wanna” singer will join golf buddy – and The Valory Music Co. labelmate – Justin Moore on his OFF THE BEATEN PATH TOUR. The talented singer/songwriter has scored two consecutive platinum-certified chart-toppers with “Get Me Some of That” and “It Goes Like This” as well as penning Florida Georgia Line’s multi-week #1 “Round Here."
Trading in her once-signature flouncy skirts for a sleek black dress, RaeLynn made her Grand Ole Opry debut over the weekend. On Friday night (9/26), the rising young entertainer showcased sophistication in more than just her style. The “God Made Girls” crooner enchanted the crowd with her debut single and performed two other songs, “Young” and “Love Triangle,” all three of which she co-wrote in Nashville.
RaeLynn humbly took the stage surrounded by a wealth of support from family, friends and her record label, The Valory Music Co. There were plenty of familiar faces in the crowd – 50 friends and family members traveled from Baytown, TX to watch RaeLynn make her debut. The 20-year-old songstress’ vocal prowess is both “conservative” and “empowering” according to Buzzfeed. It is no wonder that her debut single has been noted as the highest charting song on Mediabase by a new solo female artist this year. Pausing her set after the first song, RaeLynn commemorated the night in her own way, snapping an onstage “#OpRaeDebut” selfie with the crowd.
“I’m so excited to be able to share such a special moment in my career with my family, fans and amazing team. They all mean so much to me and I wouldn’t be here without them. Being invited to sing at the Grand Ole Opry is an absolute dream come true,” beamed RaeLynn. “Standing in the same hallowed circle as my heroes and looking out into that crowd performing my own music is a moment I will never forget. Someone pinch me please!”
Always finding new ways to connect with her fans, RaeLynn partnered with the Opry to offer a select group tickets and passes to spend time with her during the monumental evening. The Grand Prize winner won an invitation to watch RaeLynn’s soundcheck and hangout backstage in her dressing room before she took the stage. The winner also received a gift certificate to Ani & Ari, the boutique that styles RaeLynn. During intermission, the spunky vocalist treated ten fans to a meet & greet, signing autographs and snapping pictures to immortalize the milestone occasion.

C.F. Martin & Co., Inc. proudly invites hit singer/songwriter THOMAS RHETT into their prestigious Martin Ambassador Program today, which honors musicians for their understanding and appreciation of the guitar’s history and craftsmanship. The CMA New Artist of the Year nominee had the unique opportunity to visit their factory in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, last week before a tour stop to meet Martin’s craftsmen and women, marketing team and Martin’s Chief Product Officer, Fred Greene, to begin discussions on his Custom guitar. He joins a roster of artists across multiple genres, including Ed Sheeran, The Avett Brothers, Colbie Caillat, Jason Isbell, Hunter Hayes, Dierks Bentley, Del McCoury, The Milk Carton Kids, James Valentine of Maroon 5, to name a few.
“Choosing artists to join the Martin Ambassador roster is a responsibility that we take very seriously. A lot of research and consideration goes into the process because, for us, the artists will be a part of a family that is over 181 years old, and we can’t just let anyone join our family,” said Amani Duncan, VP, Brand Marketing, Martin Guitar. “Thomas Rhett is a natural fit and we are so pleased to be able to say ‘Welcome home!’”
Initially earning recognition as a talented songwriter, penning hits for Florida Georgia Line (“Round Here”), Jason Aldean (“1994”), and Lee Brice (“Parking Lot Party”), this latest honor adds to an already stellar year for Thomas Rhett, augmenting the success of his debut album, IT GOES LIKE THIS (The Valory Music Co.), which produced back-to-back #1 singles – Platinum-certified “It Goes Like This” and Gold-certified “Get Me Some of That.” Showcasing electric and acoustic guitar artistry, the project also features the Top 15 hits “Beer with Jesus” and “Something To Do With My Hands” as well as his latest offering, “Make Me Wanna.” The Valdosta, GA native grew up immersed in music, watching father Rhett Akins' success with songs like "That Ain't My Truck" and “Don’t Get Me Started” in addition to penning both of Thomas Rhett's chart-toppers.
"As a kid I always looked up to my dad, who usually had a guitar in his hand, so when I started playing, I knew I'd need a quality guitar," said Thomas Rhett. "It's such an honor for Martin to be so supportive of my career and ask me to be one of their Ambassadors."
Thomas Rhett has long been a part of the Martin Guitar family, playing the handcrafted guitars at his shows and festivals, including the packed crowd at the 2014 CMA Music Festival's Martin Jam Tent. The legendary guitar company chose an ideal ambassador, who is known to “grab his ol’ guitar and play.” He alternates between his D-28, HD-16R Adirondack and Custom Shop Koa HD-16R Martin guitars while on the road with Miranda Lambert’s PLATINUM TOUR. THE VALORY MUSIC CO. announces the signing of LEVI HUMMON to its artist roster, which includes superstar Reba, chart-topping stars Justin Moore, Brantley Gilbert, Thomas Rhett as well as legendary band The Mavericks and newcomer RaeLynn. The young Nashville native, whose penchant for songwriting is rooted in his DNA, brings a fresh sound to the Big Machine Label Group imprint.
“As our Country format ebbs and flows, it’s always so important from an A&R perspective to look past what’s happening now and make some moves on the future direction,” said BMLG President & CEO Scott Borchetta. “Levi’s unique vision and incredible artistry is exactly the kind of musical move we want to make now. This is a very significant artist signing.”
Growing up with musical influences all around him, Levi credits his early lessons in songwriting to his Grammy Award winning father, Marcus Hummon ("God Bless The Broken Road") and inspiration from his mother Becca Stevens, who founded the socially conscious and philanthropic organization Thistle Farms. The father-son pair has performed together on multiple stages throughout the years, most recently during the 2014 CMA Music Festival. Through Levi's childhood and studying visual art in college, the 23- year-old storyteller melds his life experiences into honing his craft. Learning to bring his own ideas and unique vision to co-writes, Levi has had the opportunity to collaborate with 2014 ACM Songwriter of the Year Shane MacAnally, Andrew Dorff, Josh Osborne, Jonathan Singleton, Nathan Barlowe Brandy Clark and Trevor Rosen among others. While developing his personal sound during these sessions and on his own, Levi caught the attention of Hall of Fame Songwriter Desmond Child, which lead to "Make It Love" being featured in Two: The Story of Roman & Nero and inclusion on the short list of nominations for the Oscar's Best Original Song.
“It really feels like a dream come true to be a part of the Valory/BMLG family! I've gotten to know a lot of the staff already, and it feels like one big family,” said Levi. “This label home already feels so supportive and is a perfect fit for my music. I also want to give a special shout out to my dad, who has been both a friend and mentor to me through this process, and a huge thank you to Desmond Child and Fletcher Foster for their belief in me." Levi is currently working on his debut album, due out next year. Fletcher Foster's Iconic Entertainment Group will serve as management.
