TAYLOR SWIFT ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM 1989 AVAILABLE FOR PRE-BUY

    August 18, 2014 0 Comments

Global superstar and seven-time GRAMMY® winner, Taylor Swift, announced her new album 1989 (Big Machine Records) is available immediately for pre-buy on TaylorSwift.com, iTunes and Target. In addition, Taylor released “Shake It Off,” the first single and video from her fifth studio album.

1989 is a touchstone; Taylor's songwriting and sonic evolution surprises us more than ever before. Heavily keyboard and beat driven, the pop sensibilities that have always been the hallmark of Taylor’s music now move front and center on 1989. "I spent two years making 1989. Two years gives you enough time to grow and change and let things inspire you. I was listening to a lot of late 80's pop music and how bold those songs were and how that time period was a time of limitless possibilities. In thinking about that, this album is a rebirth for me. This is my very first documented, official pop album. 1989 is the most sonically cohesive album I have ever made and my favorite album I have ever made," said Taylor. Taylor debuted “Shake It Off,” the first single, available at iTunes now, and video (which can be viewed at TaylorSwift.com) from 1989 in a worldwide Live Stream on Yahoo, where she told fans, “Over the last few years I've learned a very important lesson. We cannot control what people say about us but we can control how we react to it. We can let it get to us, make us bitter, even drive us insane or we can shake it off.”

Taylor surprised fans by revealing the 1989 Swiftstakes™ that gives fans an opportunity to win prizes that include 1,000 tickets and 500 meet and greets.

The songstress also explained that a Deluxe version of the album will include three additional songs and three songwriting voice memos. These memos are personal audio recordings that offer a unique insight into Taylor's songwriting process and document the early creation of three songs on 1989, which are available at Target stores in both the U.S. and Canada.

1989 Album Configurations Include: The 1989 album will include 13 songs, cd booklet designed by Taylor, one of five collectible sets of 13 exclusive photo prints, and a code to enter the 1989 Swiftstakes™.

The Deluxe 1989 album will include 13 songs, cd booklet designed by Taylor, one of five collectible sets of 13 exclusive photo prints, three bonus songs, three of Taylor's songwriting voice memos, and a code to enter the 1989 Swiftstakes™.

The Digital 1989 album will include 13 songs, digital cd booklet designed by Taylor, one collectible set of 13 exclusive photo prints, and a code to enter the 1989 Swiftstakes™.

1989 will be available in-stores on October 27th.

Taylor Swift, who writes all of her own songs, is a seven-time GRAMMY winner and the youngest winner in history of the music industry's highest honor, the GRAMMY Award for Album of the Year. She is the first artist since the Beatles (and the only female artist in history) to log six or more weeks at #1 with three consecutive studio albums. Taylor has an album on Rolling Stone's prestigious The 50 Greatest Albums of All Time (by women) list, Time magazine has named her one the of the 100 Most Influential People in the world, and she is Billboard's youngest-ever Woman of the Year. Taylor has career record sales in excess of 30 million albums and 75 million song downloads worldwide, and has had singles top both the pop and country radio charts around the globe. Taylor's album RED, released almost two years ago on Big Machine Records, has sold more than 6 million copies worldwide to date, including more than 1.2 million copies in the U.S. in its first week, scoring the highest first-week sales debut of any album in over a decade. Taylor is the only female artist in music history (and just the fourth artist ever) to twice have an album (2010's Speak Now and 2012's RED) hit the 1 million plus first-week sales figure. ”Shake It Off” is the first single off her fifth studio album 1989.

"ANYTHING GOES" FOR FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE ON 10/14

    August 15, 2014 0 Comments

Known for their seize-the-day attitude and festive party tunes, Florida Georgia Line finds new creativity while building on their signature sound with the highly anticipated album ANYTHING GOES (Republic Nashville), slated for release October 14.

“Tyler and I’ve been really blessed to have an amazing team – an extended family – who push us continually to be better and think differently. Whether we’re home or out on the road, we’re doing things the FGL way and it feels like with our recording, our writing, our lives … ANYTHING GOES … and we can’t wait to see where it leads next,” said Brian Kelley.

Live from Central Park in New York City this morning (8/15), FGL headlined ABC’s Good Morning America Summer Concert Series and revealed details about their forthcoming album. The talented pair hit the stage with PLATINUM-certified smashes – chart-topping “Round Here” and Teen Choice Award’s Choice Country Song “This Is How We Roll” (featuring Luke Bryan) – and their MULTI-PLATINUM #1 “Cruise,” the best-selling digital Country single of all time (SoundScan). Giving fans a taste of what’s to come, FGL also performed their latest single “Dirt,” which has already sold over 535,000 downloads and shot to #1 on both the iTunes all genre and Country charts in the US and Canada, while also sitting atop the Country chart in Australia shortly after release. Their lead single’s record-breaking momentum not only filtered across Country radio with earning the highest one-week add total in Country Aircheck history, but its moving lyrics inspired FGL to launch the Dirt Campaign to benefit Habitat for Humanity.

“There have been a lot of changes in our lives over the past couple of years but we’re still the same guys from Florida and Georgia who drove from show to show in BK’s Tahoe. We’re really excited about what we’ve learned on this journey and can’t wait to give our fans new music they can crank up just as loud as the tunes they sing back to us every night,” said Tyler Hubbard. “ANYTHING GOES is a natural progression of where we’re at and what we’ve learned getting here.”

Everything is better when doubled for the Superstar duo, who released their 2X Platinum debut HERE’S TO THE GOOD TIMES two years ago and again have producer Joey Moi at the helm for their second album. Critics nationwide from USA TODAY to ROLLING STONE and BILLBOARD are embracing FGL’s fresh vibe. Fans can get the ANYTHING GOES party started early with the iTunes pre-order beginning on 9/16.

    "Party Like You"

    August 13, 2014 0 Comments

Girls, gigs, guitars and a damn-good time have become ubiquitous with THE CADILLAC THREE so it’s no wonder that their brand new video for “Party Like You” will leave fans “feeling like a Saturday night,” “buzzing like a Miller Lite sign” and definitely on “a wild ride!” Join the “Party” via VEVO.

Shot at fooBAR in East Nashville, director Brian Lazarro’s cinematic vision wasn’t a stretch for the high-energy trio of Nashville natives – Jaren Johnston (Guitar & Lead Vocals), Kelby Ray (Bass Steel Guitar, Dobro, Acoustic & Vocals) and Neil Mason (Drums, Percussion & Vocals) – who grew up together playing music and getting rowdy. Rolling Stone Country chatted with Jaren and featured an exclusive Behind the Scenes of the video shoot yesterday.

“Despite numerous party tunes on the radio, TC3 still knows how to stand out from the crowd,” raves Country Weekly. “It’s a perfect summertime tune that’ll sound just right in these hot days ahead.”

Johnston co-wrote the beat-heavy, infectious tune with Jon Nite and Jimmy Robbins and has previously penned #1 smashes – “You Gonna Fly” (Keith Urban) and “Southern Girl” (Tim McGraw) – as well as tunes for Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, Jake Owen and Dierks Bentley, among others. Mason has cuts on Rascal Flatts’ and Miranda Lambert’s latest albums.

TC3 initially made their Big Machine Records debut with “The South,” a song that epitomizes the band’s self-described “country fuzz” sound and features Florida Georgia Line, Dierks Bentley and Mike Eli (Eli Young Band).

One of Rolling Stone Country’s 10 New Artist You Need to Know: Summer 2014, TC3 is currently on the road with Jake Owen’s DAYS OF GOLD TOUR 2014 and wrapped European dates with Eric Church earlier this year. This fall, TC3 will join labelmates Florida Georgia Line for “This is How We Cruise” aboard the Norwegian Pearl.

MADDIE & TAE GIVE A VOICE TO EVERY “GIRL IN A COUNTRY SONG” IN NEW MUSIC VIDEO

    July 24, 2014 0 Comments

MADDIE & TAE boldly bring a fresh perspective to the radio waves, giving a voice to the often trivialized, “Girl In A Country Song.” NPR exclusively shared the vision earlier today, premiering the official music video for the female duo’s cheeky debut single on Dot Records. While gaining a lot of recent attention, the esteemed outlet notes, “Maddie Marlow, who is 19 years old, and Tae Dye, who is 18, made it abundantly clear that they're aiming to tweak country's conventions, not tear them down.” Watch the unique video here, shot outside of Nashville with director TK McKamy.

Additionally, “Girl In A Country” song was the most-added song at Country radio this week.

Maddie & Tae will make their national television debut  August 11 on NBC’s TODAY .

MusicRow calls the unabashed introduction, "fabulous. They have the guts to sass every ‘bro-country’ cliche out there. She hates her tight cut-offs, her bikini top and being called pretty little thing, hottie or baby. Not to mention being whistled at, shaking her money maker and being invited to ride along in the pickup truck. Bonus points for the lively tune, the catchy track, the saucy harmonies and the overall wit. I guarantee you will smile.”

Maddie & Tae, who penned the tune with Big Machine Music staff writer Aaron Scherz, merged their love of mainstream Country and traditional upbringing into the confident yet carefree track. "…it’s no mystery why this singing and songwriting pair from the neighboring states of Texas (Marlow) and Oklahoma (Dye) has built such buzz. Excellent timing, for one thing. They've arrived on the heels of listener fatigue, offering a different vantage point. And it certainly doesn’t hurt that they have a feel for intertwining their voices, executing their phrasing and crafting their hooks for maximum smartly sweet impact,” surmises Rolling Stone Country.

Their creative insight initially dominated headlines across The AtlanticThe Washington PostCMTYahoo! Music and more, touting the song as “undeniably catchy” and “a deliciously snarky tune.”

Maddie & Tae are currently on the road for their first Country radio tour. Follow their journey on Twitter
