    FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE GOT THEIR SLIME ON FOR NICKELODEON'S KIDS' CHOICE SPORTS AWARDS 2014

    Superstar duo Florida Georgia Line performed a mashup of their fifth consecutive Platinum-certified hit “This Is How We Roll” (featuring Luke Bryan) and 7X Platinum smash “Cruise” on Nickelodeon's first-ever Kids' Choice Sports Awards last Thursday (7/17) at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles, CA. Adding to the fun, FGL got their slime on as they launched the signature green goo into the crowd while closing out their appearance. Earlier in the week, FGL's brand new single "Dirt" piled high, landing at #1 on the Country Digital Singles chart and #2 on Top Digital Songs for sales of 182,929 tracks in the first week. The record-breaking track is from their forthcoming sophomore album on Republic Nashville slated for release this fall.

    New Single Debuts at #1 Country Digital Singles Chart & #2 Top Digital Songs Selling 182,929 Tracks in First Week

    Breaks Record for Highest One-Week Add Total

    It’s full-steam ahead for superstar duo Florida Georgia Line whose momentum continues with a top spot debut of “Dirt” at #1 on the Country Digital Singles chart and #2 on Top Digital Songs for sales of 182,929 tracks in the first week. Additionally, “Dirt” scored the #1 spot on both the all genre Digital Songs and Country charts in Canada. The lead track from their forthcoming sophomore album on Republic Nashville shot to #1 on both the iTunes all genre and Country charts in the US and Canada, while also sitting atop the Country chart in Australia shortly after release.

    Making a record-breaking splash at Country radio, “Dirt” earned the highest one-week add total in Country Aircheck history with 130 stations on in the US. In Canada, "Dirt" was the #1 Most Added song at Country on Mediabase and tied for #1 Most Added for all genres.

    Florida Georgia Line is taking “Dirt” nationwide today with the release of their brand new single to Country radio and digital retailers. The music video for the highly anticipated song is also set to debut across multiple broadcast and online platforms, including CMT, GAC and Vevo.

    In celebration of the release, the superstar duo officially launched the Dirt Campaign, exclusively announced on People.com earlier today, with the fundraising platform Omaze to benefit Habitat for Humanity, a global nonprofit which creates affordable housing in partnership with low-income families.

    REPUBLIC NASHVILLE ADDS A THOUSAND HORSES TO ROSTER

    Republic Nashville announced today the addition of A Thousand Horses to its stellar artist roster, which includes superstars Florida Georgia Line; Grammy-nominated acts The Band Perry and Eli Young Band as well as sizzling newcomer Cassadee Pope. The Nashville-based band, whose sound is a blues and booze infused cocktail of southern rock and country, is fronted by Michael Hobby with bassist Graham DeLoach in addition to both Bill Satcher and Zach Brown on guitar.

    REPUBLIC RECORDS is proud to announce SVP of Promotion and Artist Development David Nathan will step up to BIG MACHINE LABEL GROUP, effective immediately.     Still based in New York, Nathan will serve as a high-level executive liaison amidst the companies.     ELI YOUNG BAND TOPS BILLBOARD COUNTRY ALBUMS CHART WITH 10,000 TOWNS

    Eli Young Band’s 10,000 TOWNS made its debut at #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart, marking a career first for the band of brothers. The chart-topping album scored EYB their best first-week sales to date, landing them a coveted Top 5 spot on the Billboard 200. The album also claimed the #1 spot last week on the iTunes Country Albums Chart upon its release.

    “Wow! This is exciting news. This is another one of those career milestones you dream about. We couldn’t be happier,” said Mike Eli.

    Critics around the country continue to churn out rave reviews.
