RAELYNN NOMINATED FOR RADIO DISNEY AWARDS FAVORITE COUNTRY SONG

Nashville, TN (March 15, 2016) – Still beaming with excitement from her recent nuptials and first-ever Academy of Country Music nomination for New Female of the Year, RAELYNN continues to celebrate with the announcement of her 2016 Radio Disney Awards’ nod for Favorite Country Song (“God Made Girls”). The GOLD-certified track, which RaeLynn penned with hit songwriters Nicolle Galyon, Liz Rose and Lori McKenna, collectively shares womanly wisdom spanning across multiple generations. “I am thrilled to have such a special relationship with Radio Disney and for ‘God Made Girls’ to be on their radar as a contender for Favorite Country Song,” shared RaeLynn. “When we wrote this song, I was really proud of its universal message of embracing your femininity as you grow and develop from a girl into a woman. It’s exciting to see the song continue to reach new audiences.”

RaeLynn previously headlined a week-long bus tour for the 30th Anniversary of National Music In Our Schools Month and penned a special song for the occasion called “Always Sing.” The initiative kicked off at Disney World in Orlando and Radio Disney’s on-air personality Brooke Taylor hosted the on-site activities along the way, which were documented with daily updates at RaeLynnBusTour.com.

She also made a guest appearance on Disney Channel’s hit series I DIDN’T DO IT as part of Disney Channel’s “Sounds of Summer” programming event, featuring cameos from some of today’s most popular young recording artists: Becky G, The Vamps, Sheppard, Pentatonix and the network’s stars Ross Lynch, Laura Marano and Dove Cameron.

The Voice alum has continued to shine with her unique talents and bold personality: opening slots on major tours with Rascal Flatts and Miranda Lambert, scoring nominations for the 2015 CMT Music Awards Female Video of the Year and Breakthrough Video of the Year and having the highest charting debut single by a solo female artist in 2014. This Memorial Day (5/30), RaeLynn will join the lineup for Camp NASH, a country music festival benefitting The Special Forces Charitable Trust.
