(AUDIO) Clare Bowen (Scarlett) Has Several Favorite Places In Nashville

May 19, 2013

Clare Bowen, who plays Scarlett on the ABC drama Nashville, has found several places in the city of Nashville that she loves. She says, “The Bluebird, the Opry and the Ryman are all very, very special places.” If you saw the last episode of Nashville that aired this past Wednesday, you saw Clare perform a song on the Grand Ole Opry, and she says, “I got to walk out onto the Opry stage as Scarlett and sing ‘Looking For A Place To Shine’ with the most amazing band that includes Sam Bush and Colin Linden and Jim Lauderdale. It was a pretty amazing experience. Just to stand out there and have Scarlett accepted by how many people in the Opry hall? Four thousand, I think? That was really something else.” For that reason she says, “The Opry is very, very close to my heart. But so is the Ryman and the Bluebird. It’s hard to pick.” It was just announced that Nashville has been picked up for a second season, which will kick off in the fall. In the meantime, don’t miss the season finale of Nashville this coming Wednesday on ABC, and check out the latest soundtrack from the show, The Music of Nashville, Season 1, Vol. 2, available now.
