(AUDIO) Connie Britton Balances Career and Motherhood

May 5, 2013

When Connie Britton isn’t busy playing Rayna James on the ABC show Nashville, she is busy being a mom to her adopted song, Eyob (pronounced Yoby). Connie adopted Yoby and she explains that it was a hectic time because it was when she was starring in the FX series American Horror Story. “It was actually while I was shooting “American Horror Story” so the production was really wonderful because I had to go to Ethiopia twice in one month,” she explains. “One time to show up for a court appearance, which was very brief, but I still had to fly all the way to Ethiopia, go to this court appearance and come back. And then the second time to come home with my son.” For anyone who watched Connie on American Horror Story, she says, “That was the period when I was in the looney bin. They put me in the looney bin and then I could go to Ethiopia and adopt my son.” You can see Connie on Nashville every Wednesday night on ABC.
