(AUDIO) Tim McGraw Would Love To Win Another CMA Vocal Event Trophy

September 8, 2013

The final nominees for the CMA Awards will be announced on Tuesday, September 10th and there’s a lot of talk that Tim McGraw’s #1 song, “Highway Don’t Care,” with Taylor Swift and Keith Urban could be a serious contender for Vocal Event of the Year, which thrills Tim. “Nominations and awards are awesome. I love ‘em. They’re sort of a watermark, I think, in your career and what your music is doing and how it’s being perceived and all those sort of things. And to have a nomination with Keith and Taylor I think, for me, it would be a cool thing.” Tim has actually had quite a bit of luck in the Vocal Event category event in the past, having won for collaborations he’s done with Kenny Chesney and Kenny and Tracy Lawrence. Tim says, “I think that it just sort of shows what the spirit of music is when you can work together and you can have success like that together and everybody can be happy about it.”

Kenny, Tracey and I won one together. So, it’s cool to have those sorta things.
