(AUDIO) Tim McGraw's Musical Future Is Wide Open

August 4, 2013

Tim McGraw has said he feels like he’s maybe only fulfilled 35% of his potential in his career, which is pretty impressive when you look at all he’s accomplished so far. But when he looks ahead at what he still could do he says, “I think it’s just a wide-open world. I think, for me, it’s about getting better. I think that I really am just started to sort of tap in musically to what I wanna do.” Tim is quick to point out that he’s proud of all he’s done so far and he doesn’t discount it, he just feels like there are so many more possibilities for him to explore. “For me it’s about—personally, as an artist, getting better and honing my craft, I guess, is what I’m trying to say. And I really feel like that now, I’m just starting to get the hang of it.” Besides wanting to record many more country albums and release singles like his latest, “Southern Girl,” Tim says he is open to all forms of musical expression, whether it’s on the radio, TV, film, Broadway or other unique avenues.

Tim McGraw – still to do in the future :27

“I think it’s just a wide-open world. I think, for me, it’s about getting better. I think that I really am just started to sort of tap in musically to what I wanna do. Not discounting anything I’ve done. If I’d had half of the success and the career that I’ve had, I would have been more than happy to have it. But for me it’s about—personally, as an artist, getting better and honing my craft, I guess, is what I’m trying to say. And I really feel like that now, I’m just starting to get the hang of it.”
