(AUDIO) Brantley Gilbert Loves Being On The Bus

April 14, 2013

“More than Miles” singer Brantley Gilbert spends a lot of time on his tour bus criss-crossing the country and he says he would take riding for hours and hours on his bus over flying any day of the week. He has a long list of reasons why. “I hate customs. I hate going through security. I hate layovers. I hate cancelled flights.” On the rare occasions that he’s lucky enough to fly on a private plane Brantley says he doesn’t mind that, but he admits, “That don’t happen very often. I’m kinda on a commercial budget. I sit in an economy seat. So I would definitely rather be on my bus… I’ve really gotten comfortable with it. It is a home away from home. I can honestly say I sleep just as good there if not better than at home. I definitely love being on the bus.”

Brantley Gilbert – living on the bus 1:01

“As far as my bus goes, road life, being on the bus, I would take a 10-hour bus ride over a flight on a plane any day. I hate customs. I hate going through security. I hate layovers. I hate cancelled flights. Now, flying private, I don’t mind doing that because we got a runway that’s like literally a hundred yards from my house in Georgia and the one here in Nashville’s not too far from our house either, so that doesn’t bother me as much. But that don’t happen very often. I’m kinda on a commercial budget. I sit in an economy seat. So I would definitely rather be on my bus. This bus, I’ve actually had for a while and man, it does feel like home. It’s set up pretty good. It’s got a makeup mirror in it for Jana. For both of us, when she’s on the road it’s great. For me, I’ve really gotten comfortable with it. It is a home away from home. I can honestly say I sleep just as good there if not better than at home. I definitely love being on the bus.”
