Rising stars Edens Edge got a little bigger last weekend (9/30) as lead vocalist Hannah Blaylock married beau Justin Wakefield during a quiet ceremony at Pratt Place Barn and Inn in the band’s homestate of Arkansas.
The couple exchanged handwritten vows beneath a gorgeous White Oak tree that was decorated with fisherman's rope and glass floats from Alaska, where Hannah spent much of her childhood. Longtime friend Steve Smith, who coincidentally helped connect the members of Edens Edge and wrote a song (“Christ Alone”) for their album, officiated the intimate ceremony. The petite bride walked down the aisle to “Falling Over You,” a special song her brother Wes wrote about his wife. Later, Hannah then shared some of her own musical talents, leading wedding guests in a traditional hymn, "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus," from her grandmother's church.
Orchestrated by wedding planner Shannon Langston, the magical evening coupled a perfect mix of southern countryside charm and elegance. Inspired by Nature florist Becky Clement accented the décor with burlap and baby's breath.
After the announcement of “Mr. and Mrs.,” guests attended the reception at nearby rustic barn, which further displayed how family and friends are such a priority to the couple. The space was intermingled with photos of the groom and bride throughout their courtship wedding day images of their parents and grandparents. From a display of Hannah’s old barrel racing saddle and serving Arkansas-made wine to having her father's band, Summerfield Reunion, perform, every detail had a special meaning. Vintage chandeliers hung above a dance floor lined with hay bails, covered with heirloom quilts, and friends contributed personal centerpieces for the dinner tables as well as homemade apple pie, cobbler and chocolate chip cookies, compliments of bandmate Dean Berner's mom.
The “new duo” will share some special alone time together on their honeymoon before Hannah reunites with her bandmates for the Rascal Flatts’ CHANGED TOUR.
