(AUDIO) Justin Moore Considers Himself A Hands Off Boss

July 7, 2013

When Justin Moore is on the road he travels with about 15 to 17 people, and for all intents and purposes, he is the boss, but he admits he doesn’t like to constantly stay on top of people. “I’m not a micro manager at all. I hire guys to work front of house, production stuff because they know what they’re doing and I don’t. I hire guys backstage to do that stuff because I don’t know what I’m doing.” Every once in a while he has to step in but thankfully it’s not often. “There’s about once a year where I really have to be a boss,” says Justin, who is touring all summer, promoting his latest single, “Point at You,” which will be on his new album, Off the Beaten Path, being released on September 17th.

“I think we have fifteen, seventeen people, something like that, that travel with us, my crew and band, every week of the year and have for a couple of years now. I’m not a micro manager at all. I hire guys to work front of house, production stuff because they know what they’re doing and I don’t. I hire guys backstage to do that stuff because I don’t know what I’m doing. There’s about once a year where I really have to be a boss.”
