(AUDIO) Justin Moore Is Already Scaring The Boys In His Daughters' Lives

July 28, 2013

Justin Moore’s daughters Elle and Kennedy are still very young, but he still dreads the day that they get old enough to date, and apparently he’s already had to put his foot down a little with Ella, who’s only three. Justin explains, “She goes to gymnastics once a week and sometimes I take her and sometimes her mom takes her, but it’s pretty funny. She’s got a little boyfriend in there and she just took him down one day and was kissing all over him in a tunnel or whatever and it happened to be a day I wasn’t there. My wife called me and told me about it. So I had a little talk with her about that. I told her she wouldn’t be going back to gymnastics if that continued.” So far Justin says his talk seems to have done the trick, but apparently the little boy involved is not so happy with him. “I took Ella after that and Ella wasn’t as affectionate to him. The little boy, who’s three, told his mom that, ‘I hope her dad don’t bring her back again. I want her mom to bring her. Her dad scares me,’” Justin shares with a laugh. And he proudly says, “I’m glad that I’ve got that effect on my daughter and a boy at three years old. If I can keep that going for the next twenty years, I’ll be doing alright.”

Just this week Justin unveiled the new cover for his next album, Off the Beaten Path, featuring his latest single, “Point At You.” The cover was unveiled through the power of the fans who uncovered it piece by piece, the more they tweeted, using the hashtag #OffhteBeatenPath. They got the hashtag trending on Twitter and tweeted it enough to unveil the entire album cover in less than 24 hours.

Justin Moore – Ella smart 1:11

“Ella is—she is—I mean, I think everybody thinks that their kids are smart or advanced for their age, but she is. She’s a smart kid. She’s a little too smart at times. You have to really watch what you say. The latest story is she goes to gymnastics once a week and sometimes I take her and sometimes her mom takes her, but it’s pretty funny. She’s got a little boyfriend in there and she just took him down one day and was kissing all over him in a tunnel or whatever and it happened to be a day I wasn’t there. My wife called me and told me about it. So I had a little talk with her about that. I told her she wouldn’t be going back to gymnastics if that continued. She’s abided by it so far. The little boy actually told his mom ‘cause I took Ella after that and Ella wasn’t as affectionate to him. The little boy, who’s three, told his mom that, “I hope her dad don’t bring her back again. I want her mom to bring her. Her dad scares me.” So, I’m glad that I’ve got that effect on my daughter and a boy at three years old. If I can keep that going for the next twenty years, I’ll be doing alright.”
