(AUDIO) Justin Moore Wants His Openers To Feel Good On His Tour

June 16, 2013

Justin Moore took his first stab at headlining a tour earlier this year with Dustin Lynch and Jon Pardi as his openers, and he had a lot of experience as an opener to pull from to know how he wanted to treat those guys. Justin has opened for everyone from Blake Shelton to Miranda Lambert to Eric Church and he says, “They were all great. You know, everybody did things a little different. Everybody was great to me in their own right, whether or not it was we should have been out there in the position we were in or we shouldn’t have been. Everybody treated us with the utmost respect, as if we deserved to be where we were.” Justin hopes anyone who opens for him leaves the tour with the same feeling. As far as specific things he took from other tours to incorporate into his own he says, “I’ve subconsciously taken different things from different people that I’ve been out with. I don’t know if I could pinpoint one thing here and there specifically that I learned. Just being out with everybody, you might see something you go, ‘Oh man. That was pretty cool,’ or ‘Hey, I’d like to do that.’ Justin just announced that his new album, Off the Beaten Path, featuring his latest single, “Point At You” will be available September 17th.

“They were all terrible to me. Nah, I’m kidding. They were all great. You know, everybody did things a little different. Everybody was great to me in their own right, whether or not it was we should have been out there in the position we were in or we shouldn’t have been. Everybody treated us with the utmost respect, as if we deserved to be where we were. That’s obviously much appreciated. I’ve subconsciously taken different things from different people that I’ve been out with. I don’t know if I could pinpoint one thing here and there specifically that I learned. Just being out with everybody, you might see something you go, “Oh man. That was pretty cool,” or “ Hey, I’d like to do that.” Hopefully, they leave our tour with the same feeling.”
