BMLG Promotes Kelly Rich to Senior VP of Sales, Marketing and Interactive

November 1, 2012

The Big Machine Label Group announced today that Kelly Rich has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Interactive. With the promotion, Rich will further lead sales and marketing efforts for the label's roster of artists which includes superstars Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, The Band Perry and many more.

Rich has been an integral part of BMLG's success at retail and in enhancing the online presence of the label’s ventures through innovative technologies and partnerships.

Since joining Big Machine in 2006, Rich has been named a Billboard “Women In Music” honoree twice. Under her leadership, BMLG has achieved some of the most successful sales of any record label (over 27 million albums in a mere six years) and multiple #1 album launches. Her most recent achievements include Taylor Swift’s record-breaking RED album release, helping build a social media fan base of over 75 million for the collective roster and working with key physical and online retailers to earn artists a major marketing presence through multiple media platforms.

"Kelly arrived right around the release of Taylor's first album - right when the company was taking flight," said Scott Borchetta, President and CEO of the Big Machine Label Group. "She has been instrumental in making sure we didn't miss any opportunities in the retail space from day one and helped establish us as real and respected players in an extremely competitive environment. As our industry continues to meet the challenges of a quick and ever-changing retail landscape we are perfectly positioned to stay on the leading edge for our amazing artists at the Big Machine Label Group. I'm sure the industry will join me in congratulating her on this much deserved new stripe."

“Working hard is a part of the BMLG culture, and I take that to heart. It's been an amazing journey and a privilege to be a part of a team that not only understands that passion and drive but pushes each of us to do better every day,” said Rich. “Thank you, Scott, for believing in me and giving me a chance to do something that I truly love!”

Rich is an industry veteran with over 22 years of experience in marketing and sales. Previously, she was the Vice President of Sales for Universal Music Group Nashville and was a part of the Dreamworks and BMG/Arista sales team.
