(AUDIO) Florida Georgia Line Find Their Place In Country Music

July 21, 2013

Florida Georgia Line has definitely created a unique sound in country music and Brian Kelley says while it’s not traditional country, “I think there’s a place for it. Man, I still listen to Alabama and I love Waylon and –we love it all, to be honest with you. We love all genres of music so I don’t know what you would call our music. I definitely think it clearly fits somewhere in there.” Florida Georgia Line’s main goal when writing songs and creating their sound was to come up with something fresh and unique because Brian says, “I heard this quote a long time ago and it’s, ‘If you try to write a Craig Wiseman song, he’s gonna beat you every time. So, write your own song.’ So we just try to find our own niche.”
