(AUDIO) Cassadee Pope Isn't Camera Shy, Within Reason

June 23, 2013

While Cassadee Pope works on her debut album she’s being followed by CMT cameras to document her process of becoming a country star. Cassadee admits, “It’s not natural at all. I got that for sure. It’s in my head that everything I say is gonna be recorded.” But she’s not worried about what the cameras will catch on The Cassadee Pope Project. “The great thing about CMT is they’re not trying to make a mockery out of me or my career. They’re very respectable. I’ve done my research. I’ve watched the programs and everything on CMT for years, so I know that they don’t do that anyway.” And she won’t have to live every waking minute on camera. “We’ve scheduled things out to where they’ll come for a few hours and then they’ll give me my space,” Cassadee explains. “It’s not the kind of show where they’re gonna have cameras in my face 24/7. I would never do that. I’m not a reality star. I’m not trying to be one. I just wanted to give people a look into what it’s like to make an album.”
