(AUDIO) Cassadee Pope Offers A Song Of Strength And Healing

July 28, 2013

If you just look at the title, Cassadee Pope’s debut country single, “Wasting All These Tears,” could sound like a song about heartbreak and wallowing in emotion, but if you listen closely you realize it’s actually a song about healing and gaining strength. “It is an empowering song,” explains Cassadee. “It’s not a horrible thing to admit you’re heartbroken. I think a lot of people think they have to put on a front and say that they’re okay when really they just need to let it out. So the song is about being heartbroken, getting through all the phases of heartbreak and then coming out the other side a bigger, better person.” Plus Cassadee thinks it helps people heal when they get those emotions out. “You just feel better when you let it all out and hopefully this song is something that people can listen to when they’re going through that and let it be their song that they just break down to and sit in their room and cry,” she says with a laugh.
