(AUDIO) Taylor Plays Make Believe For Photo Shoots

April 14, 2013

As one of the hottest singers on the planet, Taylor Swift gets invited to be on the covers of a lot of magazines like Vogue, Elle, Vanity Fair, Glamour and others. Spending that much time in front of cameras might make some people insecure or uncomfortable but Taylor doesn’t have a problem with it because she says, “Photo shoots are a place where I feel like I get to be someone else. And when I feel like I can be someone else, then I completely forget about my insecurities because I just pretend like I’m playing a part.” Pretending to be someone else also helps her get through some of the silly and awkward poses she has to strike for the photos. “I would never walk around posing and throwing my shoulders back and staring into the camera like I’m a combination of bored and tired. That’s kind of like a thing you do at a lot of fashion photo shoots: you’re just posing and vogueing. That’s not what I do naturally so I have to pretend that I’m playing a character and when I play a character, I pretend like I’m a character who doesn’t have insecurities.”
