(AUDIO) Taylor Swift Gives Props To Her Fans For Learning Wordy Songs

June 2, 2013

Taylor Swift will be performing at CMA Music Festival this week and one thing that is certain is that her fans will be singing along with all of her songs, and Taylor says she loves that. “What I love about the worldwide fans and fans in America is that they grasp on to the new music so quickly. When I played for Wembley Arena at the BBC Teen Awards, I played RED for the first time, a new song off the record. It had been out for four days. It was crazy how many people in the crowd knew every word. It’s insane.” Not only is Taylor impressed that fans latch onto the lyrics of her songs so quickly, but she also acknowledges, “I don’t write songs that aren’t wordy… there’s usually a lot to memorize and that’s why I give my fans extra points for memorizing all the words ‘cause I really ---- I’m a very wordy writer.” Taylor will perform at LP Field on Thursday night during CMA Music Festival. Also look for her to perform on Wednesday night’s CMT Music Awards on CMT and CMT.com.

It’s just kinda like -- there’s usually a lot to memorize and that’s why I give my fans extra points for memorizing all the words ‘cause I really ---- I’m a very wordy writer.”
