  • The wait will soon be over for Tim McGraw fans who have been anxiously waiting for new music from him. February 5, 2013, which is only about three months away, he will release his new album, Two Lanes of Freedom, featuring “Truck Yeah,” and his new single, “One of Those Nights.” When choosing the title, Two Lanes of Freedom, Tim says, "I always go into the studio to make the best record I can possibly make, and this one is no different. But 'Freedom' is a powerful word. To come into a situation where there's some weight lifted, some refreshment going on, you can feel that in the music. I think you can feel the horses gallop on this record, and where I might go and what I might do when my engines are revving." And Tim says, "I feel like we really found some great songs for this record, and 'One Of Those Nights' perfectly sets the tone for the project.”

  • Big Machine Label Group artists Taylor Swift, The Band Perry, and Martina McBride will join Blake Shelton, Little Big Town, and Darius Rucker to support the Give the Gift of Music campaign. The goal of the organization is to spread the word that music makes an excellent gift for birthdays and holidays or a great way to say "Thanks," "I Love You" or even "Congratulations." They also hope to educate people about the many music and music-related products that are available in the marketplace. The stars share some of their favorite memories surrounding music on GivetheGiftofMusic.info. You can also log onto the web site to learn about the Give to Those in Need program which spotlights various charities and organizations that provide music to children, hospital patients, nursing home residents and others.

  • Rascal Flatts wrapped up their Changed Tour last Saturday night in West Palm Beach, FL. Between their Thaw Out 2012 Tour, which kicked off the year, and the Changed Tour, they played to over one million fans this year. On the final night their band and supporting acts, Little Big Town, Eli Young Band and Edens Edge had a little Halloween-style fun. Their band came out dressed in furry animal costumes, including an eagle, a rabbit, a bumble bee, a bear and we think a raccoon. For the finale when all the bands joined Rascal Flatts on stage to sing “We’re An American Band,” they had raided Rascal Flatts old tour wardrobe closets and were all wearing their old stage clothes. Rascal Flatts have already sold over seven million concert tickets since they began headlining shows in 2004, and they will add to that total when they extend their Changed Tour into 2013 with The Band Perry as their opening acts for the shows that kick off on January 10th.
