(AUDIO) The Band Perry Excited To Let Freedom Sing

June 30, 2013

The Band Perry will be headlining “Music City 4th of July: Let Freedom Sing” in downtown Nashville this year and Reid Perry says, “We’re so excited to take part in the festivities here in Music City for 4th of July. But also for the chance that we also get to play three of our songs with the Nashville Orchestra as well, which will be the first time that we’ve played with an orchestra or marching band of any kind. So we’re really looking forward to that.” Kimberly is also excited to play with the Nashville Symphony because she says, “I’ve heard that that’s a really emotional thing and it’ll be great.” But she’s also looking forward to spending the holiday at home. “Usually, we’re out on the road somewhere, way far away from home for the 4th of July. But it truly is one of our top two favorite holidays, so to spend it home, if you will, right here in Tennessee and in Music City, will be a really wonderful experience.” The fireworks display that happens as part of Let Freedom Sing is one of the largest in the southeast and Neil says, “Usually on 4th of July, Reid, dad and myself are in charge of the fireworks so I’m hoping I get my hand on the firework button during the Nashville show.” You can learn more about Nashville’s 4th of July celebration here.
