The well-rounded EP provides fans with her signature Neotraditional-influenced sound across stirring introspective ballads and booming back porch barnburners, consistently “proving that Country music still has room for steel-string storytelling” (COWGIRL Magazine). Contributions to the project from Mae’s musical heroes range from the writing room to the recording studio, making for a number of special full circle moments that connect the music she was raised on and the music she’s making herself. Long-respected session musicians Lonnie Wilson (drums, percussion) and Joe Spivey (fiddle, mandolin) dedicate their talents to the entire EP while award-winning songwriter Liz Rose, one of Mae’s favorite songwriters, lends her writing prowess to “Mountain Of A Man.”
Recently named to GRAMMY.com’s list of “14 Rising Country Stars To Know Now,” Mae has had a whirlwind of a year so far. Landing opening act slots on tours for Carly Pearce, Brad Paisley and Luke Bryan, the “new-school torchbearer for Nashville tradition” (GRAMMY.com) also released her viral track “Mr. Fix It.” One of Music Row’s most in-demand collaborators, the “stellar vocalist” (Billboard) joined fellow rising artist and Neotraditional torchbearer Jake Worthington on his track “I Feel You” from his sophomore album released last month. ABOUT MAE ESTES: Hope, Ark. native Mae Estes has been having a breakout year after paying her dues in Music City, working up to three jobs at a time all while continuing to hone her craft.
