NASHVILLE, TN (November 10, 2025) – PLATINUM-selling singer/songwriter Jackson Dean earns his second career No. 1 this week as his fan-favorite single “Heavens To Betsy” tops the Mediabase/Country Aircheck chart. A single from his sophomore album On The Back Of My Dreams, “Heavens To Betsy” was first introduced to fans as a live track on Dean’s 2023-released Live At The Ryman album. Written by Dean alongside Benjy Davis and Driver Williams, the song instantly became a standout in his live shows for the way the gut-wrenching story connected with listeners night after night. Now boasting more than 50M streams to date, the “sonic cliffhanger” (Billboard) has proven to have a meaningful and lasting impact.
“It’s hard to put into words what it feels like to see ‘Heavens To Betsy’ at the top of the charts. This song has taken on a life of its own, and hearing the words echoed back to me as I stand on stages all over the world is something that I will never take for granted,” shares Dean. “Thank you, Country Radio, for the belief, love and support, and thank you to the fans for continuing to share their stories about what the song has meant to them with me.”

The idea for “Heavens To Betsy” came together in 2021 when Dean heard the phrase for the very first time in a writing session with the song’s co-writers Benjy Davis and Driver Williams. He took the meaning very literally, and the result was a darkly beautiful and nuanced story about a man sitting on the edge of heaven communicating with his daughter about his shortcomings from the beyond. The song’s impact has reached far and wide as evidenced by the consistently strong reactions Dean has received while performing the track for fans in the U.S., the UK, the EU, Australia and New Zealand on his headlining On The Back Of My Dreams Tour this year. “Heavens To Betsy” marks Dean’s second career No. 1 at Country Radio, following his No. 1 debut single “Don’t Come Lookin’” from his debut album Greenbroke.
Dean is currently opening on select dates of Country star Brad Paisley’s Truck Still Works World Tour as it makes its way through Canada. Earlier this year, he released the sultry track “Be Your Man,” the “groovy” (Billboard) “Make A Liar,” and the “tender, beautifully rendered” (Entertainment Focus) “Over And Over.” More new music from Dean is expected early next year. ABOUT JACKSON DEAN: With his strong gravel-toned vocals, wayward spirit, intentional songwriting and overall mystique, the fast-rising singer/songwriter Jackson Dean has earned a reputation for his impressive live show and thought-provoking, lyric-driven music. The young talent burst on the scene in 2022 with his atmospheric, musically-forward debut album Greenbroke that featured his PLATINUM debut single, “Don’t Come Lookin’,” which cemented Jackson as the youngest solo male Country artist to reach the top of the charts with a debut, and his GOLD certified follow up single “Fearless (The Echo).” His live show stand out and current No. 1 single “Heavens To Betsy” marked the lead track from his “..near-perfect follow-up” (American Songwriter) sophomore album On The Back Of My Dreams, released last fall via Big Machine Records. The textured, experiential body of work is built on transcendental, swelling songs and Dean’s bone-shaking vocal performance, delivered with striking swagger. The demand for Jackson skyrocketed after landing a coveted spot on artist to watch lists by Pandora, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, and CMT, as well as an ACM New Male Artist of the Year nomination in 2023. A vocalist who thrives on stage (as evident in his Live At The Ryman album), the Maryland native has leaned hard into touring, building a passionate fanbase that connects on a deeper level – both on his headlining runs and as support for superstars including Toby Keith, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson, Eric Church, Luke Bryan, Brantley Gilbert, Kane Brown, Brooks & Dunn, Lee Brice, HARDY and Brothers Osborne. Ever evolving and expanding into new territory both sonically and lyrically, Dean released new tracks “Be Your Man” and “Make A Liar” earlier this year, and his track “Turn On The Lights” was used for T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights 2025 competition. He just wrapped a highly successful run of his headlining On The Back Of My Dreams World Tour in Australia and New Zealand, and he is currently opening on select dates of Brad Paisley’s Truck Still Works Tour as it makes its way through Canada.
