NASHVILLE, TN (February 18, 2022) – MULTI-PLATINUM entertainer Brett Young opened up about the music video for his latest single “You Didn’t,” out now — watch here. Directed by trusted collaborator Seth Kupersmith (Mercy,” “Catch, “Lady” and “Not Yet), the pair conceptualized the clips for Young’s latest track infusing bold visuals and subtle details throughout the painful journey of unrequited love. With lyrics “that will pierce anyone” (Music Row), Young flexes his emotional fluency on-screen with his co-star and wife Taylor Mills Young as he immerses himself in the memories of an unraveling relationship. Fans can watch a special chat about the video with Young and Kupersmith here.

“The cool thing about this video is that it lets you in on how the narrator is actually feeling, as opposed to how he’s presented in the song,” Young shared. “He is saying all the right things so his girl doesn’t feel guilty, but then the video sheds light on how much of that is a lie, and how deeply he’s actually struggling. As always, Seth delivered beyond my wildest expectations and it’s never a bad day when you get to work alongside your beautiful wife!”

Lauded a “powerhouse in country music” (Billboard), the 7x chart-topper is plotting performances at major festivals including the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo on February 24 before making his way overseas for C2C 2022 on March 12 and 13. Young has captured the hearts of fans everywhere through his honest lyrics and West Coast-meets-Southern sound, aptly dubbed “Caliville” style. With an undeniable string of hits and MULTI-PLATINUM sales, he has cemented his status as country’s master over matters of the heart. Following two albums defined by a transcendent romantic spark, the star now broadens his emotional scope with WEEKENDS LOOK A LITTLE DIFFERENT THESE DAYS, out now along with an acoustic version via BMLG Records. The collection features his current single “You Didn’t” and PLATINUM-certified No. 1 “Lady,” whose lyrics inspired Young’s debut children’s book LOVE YOU, LITTLE LADY, published by Tommy Nelson (an imprint of HarperCollins). The projects follow his GOLD-certified TICKET TO L.A., which debuted atop the Billboard Country Albums chart, and PLATINUM self-titled debut, which dominated the Top 20 on the Country Albums chart for 37 weeks, all contributing to over 5 billion streams globally. Young was named ASCAP’s 2018 Country Songwriter-Artist of the Year for his “melodic craftsmanship” (Billboard) and has also garnered nominations from ACM, Billboard, Teen Choice, CMT and CMA Awards as he continues to rack up nonstop hits as “one of country’s most consistent radio stars” (Rolling Stone).
