NASHVILLE, TN (February 28, 2022) – Taylor Mill-raised CARLY PEARCE wears her pride for Kentucky like a badge of honor, from the outline tattooed on her arm to the texture in her highly-lauded voice. Today the reigning CMA Female Vocalist of the Year and two-time ACM Awards winner has been announced as part of the 2022 Kentucky Music Hall of Fame inductees, who will be honored at a ceremony in Renfro Valley on Friday, October 28, alongside Grand Ole Opry background vocalist Norah Lee Allen, Steel Guitar Hall of Famer Tommy White, “I’m From the Country” hit songwriter Marty Brown and posthumously, Bluegrass songwriting legend Pete Goble and master guitarist and legendary producer Paul Yandell.
“Kentucky is where I learned to love Country music and the incredibly talented musicians who wove their stories and texture throughout the genre. From straight-up sass of The Judds and Patty Loveless or truly understanding Loretta Lynn’s heartache, to the Bluegrass tinge of Ricky Skaggs and Bill Monroe, their influences have driven my music,” expressed Carly. “I am so excited and grateful to be inducted into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame this Fall.”
Throughout the years other notable inductees have also included Loretta Lynn, The Backstreet Boys, Florence Henderson, Rosemary Clooney, Keith Whitley and Boots Randolph.
The chart-topping singer/songwriter and Grand Ole Opry member is currently up for four ACM Awards including Female Artist and Album for 29: WRITTEN IN STONE, plus will perform her Video and Music Event-nominated “Never Wanted To Be That Girl” with Ashley McBryde.
Cited by TIME, Rolling Stone, Rolling Stone Country, The New York Times, Variety, NPR, Billboard and People, the deeply personal work served as a document to help other people – especially women – navigate the heartbreak of happily ever after falling apart. Wrapping the 2021 sold-out initial leg of her first headline run, Carly will take the entire collection of songs back on the road for another leg of THE 29 TOUR and partner with PLUS1 so $1 of each ticket sold will support tornado recovery efforts in her Kentucky. In addition to her own headline dates, she will join Kenny Chesney’s 2022 HERE AND NOW TOUR.
