NASHVILLE, TN (June 27, 2025) – Big Machine Records singer-songwriter Chase McDaniel announces the forthcoming release of his autobiographical debut album Lost Ones, due out September 19. To give listeners a glimpse at the LP’s tremendous emotional power and empathetic message, the Kentucky-bred artist is also sharing Lost Ones’ soul-searching title track and its accompanying lyric video today (6/27). Lost Ones is a body of work born from McDaniel’s mission of bringing strength to anyone who feels hopeless or adrift. With every track co-written by McDaniel, the album shares the most painful aspects of his personal story, including his struggle with depression and the life-altering experience of losing his father to addiction. Produced by Lindsay Rimes and recorded with a first-rate lineup of musicians at Sound Stage Studios in Nashville, TN, Lost Ones merges that bravely honest storytelling with McDaniel’s gritty and exhilarating form of Country-Rock – ultimately providing a powerful catharsis even in its most devastating moments.
Fueled by his soulful vocal work previously shown on hit songs like “Project” (a 2022 release that shot to No. 1 on the Billboard Country Digital Song Sales chart), Lost Ones reaches a particularly gripping intensity in its title track. With its haunting piano riff, waltz-like tempo, and spellbinding steel guitar, the Lindsay Rimes-produced “Lost Ones” unfolds with a hypnotic urgency as McDaniel opens up about the very phenomenon that inspired the entire album: the deeply affecting experience of connecting with fans who’ve found solace in the unfiltered truth of his songwriting (“They come outta nowhere from all around / From big city streets to them county road towns / Broken and hopeless, hoping to be found / Hurtin’ so loud but they don’t make a sound / All showing up with their broken wings / Praying their misery meets company”). Co-written by McDaniel, Chris LaCorte, and Josh Miller, “Lost Ones” ultimately finds McDaniel delivering a bit of hard-won wisdom and much-needed guidance: “Ain’t what you wanna hear, but hell, since you’re here, let me tell you that pain’s got purpose / Tell me who you’re gonna reach if you ain’t been through nothing / Take the pain and overcome it, turn it into something.”
With album tracks “Heart Still Works” and “Made It This Far” initially dropped as solo releases in 2024, McDaniel rolled out back-to-back songs from Lost Ones earlier this year. In February, he offered a potent insight into the emotional landscape of the full-length project with “Burned Down Heaven.” A true-to-life reflection on the overwhelming sorrow that follows hurting someone you love, the debut single landed him in the Top 3 most added at Country radio for the first time. Paired with a cinematic music video directed by Robby Stevens, the track earned praise from the likes of MusicRow (who dubbed him their “DISCovery Award winner” and hailed it as “powerfully written, and his aching, soaring vocal sells it like nobody’s business.”) Revealing yet another dimension of his artistry, McDaniel fast-followed with “Risk It All” – a boldly determined portrait of falling for someone who’s impossibly out of reach, matching his moody baritone with ethereal textures and pulse-pounding beats.

ABOUT CHASE MCDANIEL:
Raised by his grandparents in the small Kentucky town of Greensburg, Chase McDaniel is one of Nashville’s most tenacious singer-songwriters and a shining example of how kindness, persistence, and curiosity can pay off. After graduating from the University of Louisville, he pursued his dream of making Country music all the way to Nashville. But the streetwise go-getter, who’s no stranger to hard times, quickly found misfortune once again – this time courtesy of the pandemic. Jobless and down to his last $12, he almost packed it up and headed home, then found a lifeline in a friend who loaned him enough to cover rent for just a few more weeks. During that time, McDaniel submitted over 50 job applications and finally landed a gig, working double shifts and sleeping as little as four hours a night while writing and recording with his producer and best friend Jerry Jacobs in whatever spare time he could find. Grateful for the second chance, McDaniel poured his heart and soul into his music, sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly, and steadily winning over a growing community of fans who’ve connected with his honesty and strength through vulnerability – not to mention his enigmatic swagger. Over the last few years, he’s scored the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Country Digital Song Sales and iTunes Country single charts with the self-aware “Project” and reached No. 3 (all-genre) for “Your Daughter” (a heartbreaking track written about his sister). The Big Machine Records talent released his debut EP Blame It All On Country Music in early 2024, and began taking his Country-Rock sound and rich baritone vocals to sold-out audiences across the country.
