Jet-Sets to Tulsa for Blake Shelton’s COUNTRY MUSIC FREAKS TOUR Kick-off That Night
NASHVILLE, TN (February 12, 2018) – Breakout sensation CARLY PEARCE will continue to carry the torch for female Country artists this week with a national TV appearance, opening a Superstar tour and celebrating the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s education initiatives.
Carly begins her whirlwind blitz on Monday (2/12) at P.S. 169 Baychester Academy students as part of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s Words & Music program. Tuesday (2/13) evening the troupe will premiere the original song they jointly penned, “We Are The Song,” with esteemed tunesmiths Liz Rose (“Girl Crush,” “You Belong with Me”) and Phil Barton (“A Woman Like You”) during the next All for the Hall benefit concert at the PlayStation Theater. This year’s show features an all-female lineup including Kesha, Maren Morris and Emmylou Harris alongside host Vince Gill, a Country Music Hall of Fame Member and founder of All for the Hall.
Deemed “the new voice of Country” (People), Carly knows a bit about musical aspirations at a young age. At 5 years old she told her parents she’d play the Grand Ole Opry (which she’s done nearly 50 times), at 11 she was fronting a local Bluegrass band and by 16 the Kentucky native convinced her parents to leave high school for a job performing at Dollywood, where she also took online classes to graduate. Several false starts after moving to Nashville, she learned humility – and that you’re never guaranteed anything. She is a true example of what can happen when you don’t let your current circumstances define your future.
Thursday (2/15) morning Carly will perform her full-bodied new single “Hide The Wine” on LIVE with Kelly & Ryan, airing at 9:00A local time in most markets (check listings). Immediately following the show, she’ll head to Tulsa for opening night of Blake Shelton’s COUNTRY MUSIC FREAKS TOUR. She will spend the remainder of 2018 out with Thomas Rhett’s LIFE CHANGES, Rascal Flatts’ BACK TO US and Luke Bryan’s WHAT MAKES YOU COUNTRY (including stadium dates) tours.
Oozing with critical and mainstream appeal, her debut album EVERY LITTLE THING (Big Machine Records) has elicited three consecutive chart-toppers on SiriusXM’s The Highway with “Every Little Thing,” “If My Name Was Whiskey” and “Hide the Wine,” solidifying her in their all-genre “Class of 2017.” The blockbuster title track went No. 1 at Country radio, designating her as the highest charting solo female debut since July 2015 and one of only three to accomplish the feat in twelve years.
