NASHVILLE, TN (September 16, 2022) – Rising singer/songwriter Conner Smith has enlisted co-writer Ryan Hurd for a fresh acoustic take on his new single “Take It Slow” (The Valory Music Co.), available now. The pair penned the earnest track alongside Mark Trussell which has quickly amassed over 40 million global streams to date before officially hitting Country radio airwaves this week. Listen to “Take It Slow (acoustic)” featuring Ryan Hurd here.

“What I love about this song is that it sounds just as cool produced up as it does just me sitting there with a guitar,” shares Smith. “I’ve been wanting to put out an acoustic version of ‘Take It Slow’ from day one and was glad my co-writer and friend Ryan Hurd could join me on it.”

Smith “proves that his talent is one for the ages” (Country Swag) amid a whirlwind year, stepping forward as “one of the brightest rising stars coming out of Nashville” (The Nash News). The 22-year-old has kept busy this summer showcasing his magnetic live show on Thomas Rhett’s BRING THE BAR TO YOU TOUR and celebrating his first Top 40 hit “Learn From It,” while also making time to deliver new music to fans with songs like “Summer On Your Lips” and “Orange And White.” The Nashville-raised artist will perform a homecoming set tomorrow (9/17) supporting Parker McCollum at Ascend Amphitheater.

Named one of Spotify’s Hot Country Artist to Watch for 2022 and Amazon Music’s 2022 Amazon Artist To Watch, Smith is the only Country act named to the Pandora’ prestigious all-genre accolade, Artists To Watch 2022: The Pandora Ten list.
