CREATIVETS HONORS MEMORIAL DAY WITH A TRIBUTE TO FALLEN COMRADES

I Can’t Cry” (ft. Chris Ferrara) Out Now

NASHVILLE, TN (May 24, 2024) – In collaboration with veteran Andrew White, mentor Richard Casper, and songwriters Lance Carpenter and Chris Ferrara, CreatiVets today releases “I Can’t Cry” (ft. Chris Ferrara) in partnership with Big Machine Label Group. Released in commemoration of Memorial Day, the song serves as a tribute to fallen comrades and pays homage to the sacrifices made by veterans all while capturing White’s unique journey.

White, who met CreatiVets co-founder Richard Casper during an annual retreat golf tournament for veterans in Orlando, Florida, never thought he would have the opportunity to process his experiences through songwriting.

“This was definitely a first-time opportunity for me – something I would’ve never thought I would either have the opportunity or courage for,” shared White. “It was just amazing to be able to open up and talk about my experience and watch it go from some scratch ideas and paper to hearing it performed for the first time.”

Lance Carpenter, one of the song’s writers, shared his perspective on the collaboration, saying, “I haven’t had to wear the uniform, so any chance I get to sit down with a veteran to help them put their story into a song is God giving me a chance to serve someone who served for me.”

Since its founding in 2013, CreatiVets has helped more than 2,500 combat veterans — with more than 500 veterans participating in its songwriting programs to date. Serving as a connector for opportunities that magnify CreatiVets within the entertainment space, Big Machine Label Group continues to contribute to CreabtiVets’ operational initiatives through Scott and Sandi Borchetta’s Music Has Value Fund and through Big Machine Music, which serves as the co-publisher for CreatiVets.
