As Music City drama ensues, Delta Rae finds solace in the recording studio performing the buoyant “A Long and Happy Life” while Deacon and Jessie wait to work on her song.
The Holljes brothers wrote the poetic title track from theirA LONG AND HAPPY LIFE EP (The Valory Music Co.) as a reflection of their admiration for Southern literature and specific authors that have influenced their lives.
“We were so happy to be a part of a show that combines two of our favorite things; music and story-telling. After recording our own EP, it was fun to be able to go back into the studio and play a role on the show,” expressed Ian Holljes.
Added Liz Hopkins, “This is a dream come true! Britt and I have been watching “Nashville” together for 5 years. We crush on Deacon, get thrown by the twists, and always appreciate the way it features songwriting and the highs and lows of musician life. We can’t believe that we will be featured in this week’s episode, hope you will tune in with us!”
The Durham, NC-based band is currently taking their larger-than-life performances from coast to coast on their 60+ date headline A LONG AND HAPPY LIFE SUMMER TOUR 2017. Fans can catch the live show this week in San Diego (7/25), Los Angeles (7/26), and San Francisco (7/28). At each stop, Delta Rae celebrates educators through their Tickets for Teachers initiative; nomination details are available at DeltaRae.com and the band’s social media accounts.
