2018 CMT Listen Up Artist Offers Behind-The-Scenes Look from the Studio:http://smarturl.it/TylerRichInTheStudio

NASHVILLE, TN (February 12, 2018) – Like many Country artists, Tyler Rich found his love of music gathered around family at a young age, yet the difference is, he was raised in a small farming community in Northern California and not the South. The West Coast transplant has since made roots in Nashville and released “The Difference” on The Valory Music Co. His all-in single – penned by Rhett Akins, Ben Burgess, Devin Dawson and Jacob Durrett – is a perfect introduction to the engaged 31-year-old’s romantic outlook and has already caught attention of SiriusXM as a coveted Highway Find. He serenades with lyrics like: “There’s a difference between ‘miss ya’ and ‘I miss your face’ / There’s a difference in ‘what’s goin’ on’ and ‘baby, how was your day’ / Yeah, there’s a hell of a difference in sayin’ three words / Or kinda just meanin’ two / There’s a difference in ‘love ya’ and ‘I love you’ / And I wanna be the difference.”

Cameras rolled as Tyler recorded at Blackbird Studios alongside Executive Producer/Big Machine Label Group President and CEO Scott Borchetta and Producers Julian Raymond and Lindsay Rimes. The impressive list of musicians featured on “The Difference” include: Ilya Toshinskiy (Acoustic Guitar), Tom Bukovac (Electric Guitar), Lindsay Rimes (Electric Guitar, Background Vocals and Programming), Mark Hill (Bass), Tim Lauer (Keyboards) and Victor Indrizzo (Drums).

At age 8 Tyler’s cousin introduced him to the Country sounds of George Strait, Garth Brooks and Alan Jackson before his grandparents surprised a then 14-year-old with a guitar so he could join in the annual jams. Fast forward to graduating college with a degree in Economics, Tyler moved to LA to pursue a different game of numbers – music – exploring various genres with songwriting and bands before taking the leap as a solo artist. His fanbase has grown from sold-out shows in Sacramento to performing alongside some of the genre’s top acts including Dustin Lynch, Sam Hunt, Brett Eldredge, Justin Moore, Cole Swindell, Dan + Shay. While introducing his amplified sound and infectious energy coast to coast, he has already been named a 2018 CMT Listen Up Artist.

Tyler is managed by L3 Entertainment in Nashville.
