DRAKE WHITE NOMINATED FOR CBS.COM’S “ARTIST OF TOMORROW” LEADING INTO GRAMMY® AWARDS

NASHVILLE, TN (December 7, 2016) – Gravel-infused Soul singer/songwriter Drake White keeps up the full-throttle momentum releasing “Makin’ Me Look Good Again” to Country radio, earning a CRS New Faces 2017 slot and garnering a nomination for CBS.com’s “Artist of Tomorrow” program. In advance of The 59th Annual GRAMMY® Awards, fans can vote for White at “Artist of Tomorrow” for his chance to perform during GRAMMY Live® on February 12 leading into the official ceremony online at CBS.com and GRAMMY.com and across platforms through the CBS App.

GRAMMY-winning Zac Brown Band nominated White after he wrapped a hugely successful stadium tour opening for them this summer with stops at New York City’s CitiField and two nights at Boston’s Fenway Park. CBS.com’s “Artist of Tomorrow” program features a video interview where Zac Brown discusses how he sees a lot of himself in White.

“I love Drake’s whole record,” raved Zac Brown. “I think he really writes from a real place. I love his voice. I love his passion. He gets down – he gets moved…it reminds me a lot of when we were getting going.”

The pair collaborated together on “Back to Free,” a song on White’s debut album SPARK, which Taste of Country fans voted as Album of the Year. Sounds Like Nashville also noted, “…it’s only a matter of time before White is searching for opening acts of his own.”

His newest radio single “Makin’ Me Look Good Again” went for airplay adds this week with a strong response right out of the gate. White co-wrote the tune with Monty Criswell and Shane Minor. All Accessexclaimed, “There’s absolutely nothing else like it on the radio – and that’s a good thing.”

White will begin the new year playing with Zac Brown Band at Castaway with Southern Ground in Maya Mexico on January 30. In addition to headlining dates throughout the winter, he has also been tapped for Tortuga Music Festival on April 7 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. For more information, visit DrakeWhite.com.
