LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS (April 4, 2022) – Arkansas born-and-bred HEATH SANDERS and JUSTIN MOORE combine their familiar Southern drawls with “Raised On Red.” An homage to the way they were brought up and unshakeable similarities, the dynamic anthem boasts: The red that runs through my blood is something I’m damn proud of. Man, I love that I was raised on red. Heath wrote the track alongside Dawson Edwards and Houston Phillips, which is out Friday (4/8) via The Valory Music Co.

Heath says, “’Raised On Red’ has been an anchor in our live shows for years now, so to say I’m ecstatic about getting this one out to folks is a huge understatement and getting to add Justin brought a whole new energy to it. It’s not often a new artist gets to cut a song with one of his heroes. ‘Raised On Red’ has given me an opportunity to highlight my southern rock roots, and I can’t wait for y’all to hear it!”

With parallel backgrounds and distinct vocals, the pairing is an honest take on the life they have lived. Spending nearly a decade working on natural gas wells before taking a chance on himself, Heath caught the attention of listeners beyond the oil field with a cover of Chris Stapleton’s “Either Way” and his own four-song collection Billboard found “addresses music with a natural blue-collar grit.” COMMON GROUND opens with a fresh take on the core of his upbringing (“Old School’s In”), expresses the value of your word (“Can’t Undo I Do”) and builds on the character of his Marshall hometown community, yet it’s the title track that digs deepest with a message of unity in spite of differences. Named as one of Pandora’s 2021 Country Artists To Watch, Heath draws upon a lifetime of early mornings and long days in his music to emerge as the new voice of the workingman.

“We’ve recorded a lot of these lifestyle type of songs over the years, and I’ve always thought it was important for people to obviously know what we sound like and what our shows are like. But I think it’s just as important, if not more so, for people to know who we are, and ‘Raised On Red’ provides insight into that,” says Justin. “When I first heard the song, I don’t think I even made it through the first chorus before I knew I wanted to jump on it with Heath. To be able to work with him in any capacity is always a lot of fun. I have a ton of respect for him obviously as an artist, singer/songwriter but more so as a person. Now that could be partly because he bleeds Arkansas RED like me. Go Hogs!”

Justin is a force in Country music that has thrived singing about the values that surrounded his youth – “Small Town USA,” “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home,” “Why We Drink” and Top 30-and-climbing reflection on his 14-year marriage with wife Kate titled “With a Woman You Love.” The MULTI-PLATINUM, 10-time chart-topper is expected to release a new studio album later this year. Additionally, the Poyen native recently joined as a regular co-host on 103.7 The Buzz’s morning drive-time sports talk show “Morning Mayhem,” showcasing his never-ending sports knowledge on-air each weekday morning from his home state.

Already spending time on the road together, Heath will next join more of Justin’s COUNTRY ON IT TOUR for select dates in May. For tickets and more information, visit JustinMooreMusic.com and heathsanders.com.
