Breakout Talent Follows Up History-Making Debut With Re-Record Of Fan Favorite
Amazon Music, CMT, Country Radio Seminar, Pandora and More Declare “Don’t Come Lookin’” Singer as “One to Watch” in 2023
NASHVILLE, TN (January 6, 2023) – Following his history-making breakout success of 2022, Jackson Dean is already putting the pedal to the floor for 2023 and coming out of the gate swinging with today’s release of “Fearless (The Echo)” via Big Machine Records. Set to impact Country radio on Monday, January 16, Dean’s’ sophomore single maintains his wily, outlaw spirit while digging deeper to unveil new layers of his heart—as well as his vocal range. Showing the complexity and maturity of the young talent, Dean boldly sings about his dauntless nature while simultaneously substantiating the claims by demonstrating his courageousness through vulnerability—fearlessly admitting his fears.
The original version of Dean’s sophomore single appeared on his critically acclaimed debut album,Greenbroke and quickly became a fan-favorite during live shows. Having recorded the initial version in his late teens, he and producer Luke Dick recently re-recorded the track to reflect his vocal maturity and his high-energy live performances, which have been regarded as “not-to-be-missed live events” (Southern Maryland Chronicle).

“We played over 100 something shows last year and each night ‘Fearless’ was one of my favorites to perform because not only do I get to really wail on it, but I always felt a special connection and energy from the audience with it,” said Jackson Dean. “It was really cool to get the opportunity to re-record and hear how I’ve grown vocally over the last few years—I love that the new version sounds a lot more like our live shows.”
“Fearless (The Echo)” is the follow up to Dean’s history-making debut “Don’t Come Lookin’” which cemented him as the youngest male in not just Aircheck, but Radio & Records’ chart history to land a No. 1 with their very first single. The gritty anthem for restless spirits was featured on Netflix’s The Ice Road soundtrack and Paramount Network’s Yellowstone, appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, included in several lists as one of the Best County Songs of 2022 (Billboard, Taste of Country, etc.) and declared Dean as the top most heard new artist on Country Aircheck chart for 2022.
The wild, career launching year also saw the 22-year-old release his critically-acclaimed debut album (Greenbroke), make his Grand Ole Opry debut, play more than 110 shows, more than double his fans across his social platforms, have a travel mishap or two, partner with the FFA and Ram Trucks, solidify an impressive lineup of shows including Stagecoach, Austin City Limits, stops in the UK and an opening spot on Blake Shelton’s 2023 Back to the Honky Tonk Tour and be included on a slew of “best of” and “artist to watch” lists:
