The multi-instrumentalist offers insight into the songwriting process, his day-to-day life and the musical journey that took Kristian from his hometown of Sevierville, TN to Atlanta, Nashville and around the world as part of his various bands, including MULTI-PLATINUM-selling super duo Sugarland. Throughout the conversations, Cindy’s expertise and provoking questions invite listeners to these fresh stories.

“The only thing better than listening to music is listening to music with someone else,” Kristian said. “I met Cindy years ago — me writing songs and her writing about songs. Somewhere along the way, we discovered we were both from the same tiny hometown and have been friends ever since. This podcast is like the liner notes I always wish I had, with the person that I always wished had written them.”

Appropriately dropping on Kristian’s 52nd birthday (March 14), “52 – The Podcast” episode 1 is available on all podcast platforms at midnight ET. Original episodes will be released for free every week for 52 weeks as a companion to his forthcoming 52-song project.

Kristian co-wrote nine of the 10 songs on 52 – ATL X BNA, a collection penned with Nashville writers and recorded in Atlanta with Atlanta’s R&B musicians, including famed Atlanta drummer Jorel “JFly” Flynn, Jerry Freeman of the famed Hornz Unlimited and the Black Bettys among others. The Atlanta-based singer named the first group of songs – including – “Tennessee Plates” and “Everybody Gotta Go Home” – after the letters on his well-worn luggage tag pointing to his decades traveling between Atlanta and Nashville airports.

The 52 collection follows Kristian’s critically-acclaimed solo debut SOUTHERN GRAVITY. In addition to Sugarland and solo projects, his eclectic career also includes successful runs with Folk-Rock duo Billy Pilgrim and Rock Jam band Dark Water. 52 nods at each of his creative iterations with upcoming volumes themed around summer, Rock, love and surprises.
