NASHVILLE, TN (February 7, 2020) – When modern traditionalists MIDLAND revived a legendary North Hollywood venue last year, the buzz of a one-night-only event sparked a new album. The critically-acclaimed show will be released on Big Machine Records February 28 with a 10-track collection MIDLAND LIVE FROM THE PALOMINO. The Grammy-nominated trio recorded their set in front of fans, media and industry insiders who crowded into the iconic honky-tonk venue. Variety praised, “The group’s recent sophomore album, ‘Let It Roll,’ provided a head rush of a neo-vintage good time that finds its most natural live home in a slightly seedy confined space, but which shouldn’t be begrudged its chance to turn theaters and arenas into dives for a night.”

“Places like this are disappearing,” explains lead singer Mark Wystrach, “so you want to remember, to grab the moments while you still can. You think about who’s been on that stage and you can’t help but feel connected to so much greatness. We live for hardcore honky-tonks, and to be able to hold onto that night and bring a little slice of it through this album to our fans is special for us.”

The forthcoming live project features a live version of their latest offering, “Cheatin’ Songs” which scored most added on playlists at Country Radio and whose accompanying music video gives a behind-the-scenes look at the Palomino Club’s magic: https://midland.lnk.to/CS_PalominoPR. Acclaimed by The New York Times for their “retro country elegance,” filming the video in a bar that’s seen a myriad dalliances was metaphorically sound.

LET IT ROLL, Midland’s No. 1 Billboard Top Country Album debut and second critically lauded project, was recorded in four different cities over the course of their relentless touring schedule. Built on classic Country’s unapologetic embrace of grown-up themes, Midland’s latest offering is filled with plenty of drinking songs, cheating songs and seduction songs. NPR noted the trio “Evolves Its Vintage Sound” while Esquire proclaimed their music, “as well-worn as the barstool its protagonist refuses to abandon—think warm, Dwight Yoakam-esque country and swirling, Laurel Canyon folk” and The Austin American Statesman praised, “the melodic twang of 1970s country-rock… reaching high above honky-tonk bounds.”

Recently gracing the cover of touring trade Pollstar, announcing the Stagecoach 2020 line-up on ELLEN and getting ready to kick-off this year’s Houston Rodeo & Livestock Show March 3, Midland goes to great lengths to keep it old school – and straight up. While their headlining tour – including two SRO nights at Ft. Worth’s turbo-tonk Billy Bob’s – is all but completely sold out, the trio will spend their summer vacation as special guest on Tim McGraw’s HERE ON EARTH TOUR.
