NASHVILLE, TN (April 20, 2018) – Multi-PLATINUM-selling artist Brett Young will perform his fast-rising single “Mercy,” “a favorite among his dedicated fan base” (Tennessean) Monday, April 23 on ABC’s Good Morning America during the 8:00A hour (all time zones).

This is a big week for the 2018 ACM New Male Vocalist of the Year who also garnered a pair of Billboard Music Award nominations for Top Country Album for his debut self-titled album (BMLG Records) and Top Country Song for his breakout smash hit “In Case You Didn’t Know.” Young’s first three singles have all surpassed the PLATINUM sales mark with “In Case You Didn’t Know” crossing 3X PLATINUM, making him the only debut Country artist to reach that milestone since 2014. And while his newest single “Mercy” is Top 20-and-rising on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart, the video for the song has already spent multiple weeks at No. 1 on the Vevo Top Country chart and the song has been streamed over 46 million times.

Young’s “soothing, approachable” (New York Times) self-titled debut album became an instant success upon its 2017 release when it dominated the Top 20 on the Country Albums chart for 37 weeks, quickly reaching RIAA GOLD Certification. Delivering hit after hit, Young became one of Country music’s “most reliable new hitmakers” (Tennessean). Along with the success of his songs, his music videos have become fast hits as well, with “In Case You Didn’t Know” surpassing 180 million views alone. Drawing in a devoted fan base with his unique voice, “a gentle and seductive combination of silk and gravel” (All Access), he “doesn’t sound like anyone else in Nashville” (Omaha World Herald). Named as the only Country act to Billboard’s Top 10 New Artists, fans have flocked to hear Young’s distinct sound live, selling out every single stop on his debut headlining CALIVILLE TOUR. Fans can catch Young on Thomas Rhett’s LIFE CHANGES TOUR 2018 this spring. For additional information, visit brettyoungmusic.com.
