NASHVILLE, TN (March 23, 2020) – AVENUE BEAT’s lyrics are as clever and quirky as their personalities. Today, the genzennial collective of Sami Bearden, Savana Santos and Sam Backoff offer their sassy take on breaking up to Country radio with “Ruin That For Me.” The trio penned their angst-rejecting anthem alongside Justin Ebach, while lead singer Savana co-produced with David Garcia and Ashley Gorley. Garnering over six million streams to date, “Ruin That For Me” is featured on Avenue Beat’s debut self-titled EP, available now via The Valory Music Co/Tape Room Records.

Wildly melodic Avenue Beat, sings with heart and humor:

That Sunday drive playlist that we sing along to
Always knew every word
That corner booth at the diner off of sixth and park
Where we started the fall first
Our favorite TV shows
Those friends that we both know
Memories in photos
You ain’t gonna ruin that for me, nah, nah
You ain’t gonna be what I think about weighing me down
I’m still doing what I like just cause you say goodbye
Ain’t gonna change my life
You ain’t gonna ruin that for me

Avenue Beat grew up ingesting social media platforms, theater groups and hanging out with older kids – and turned into the notes of a chord that lands somewhere between Taylor Swift ascending and Billie Eillish at her most real. Making music together since they were 14-years-old, childhood friends Savana and Sam met Sami at a summer theater camp and ultimately formed Avenue Beat. The trio quickly went from teaching one another to harmonize by matching pitch to playing local talent shows and festivals – making trips to Nashville writing since high school and officially moved after graduation. The now 20-something besties are strong, smart, fun – in love with life, each other and getting on with it…fresh face of new feminism, while blowing off being told who girls are supposed to be. For the latest updates and more, visit AvenueBeat.com and follow along on Instagram
