NASHVILLE, TN (June 8, 2021) – As his new collection WEEKENDS LOOK A LITTLE DIFFERENT THESE DAYS (BMLG Records) pulls in early critical acclaim for its “new level of authenticity and yet another way to let people in” (MusicRow), MULTI-PLATINUM performer BRETT YOUNG appeared on NBC’s TODAY this morning. Delivering the performance debut of “Not Yet,” the follow-up to seven consecutive No. 1s, Young also shared news with anchors Al Roker, Sheinelle Jones and Dylan Dreyer that his forthcoming children’s book, LOVE YOU, LITTLE LADY, will be available on August 24 via Thomas Nelson (an imprint of HarperCollins). Inspired by the lyrics of his familial GOLD-certified chart-topper “Lady,” Young writes a love letter to his daughter as he shares what it’s like to hear her heartbeat, hold her for the first time and watch her take her first steps. Watch the segment HERE and pre-order the book HERE.

Young continues to celebrate the new collection with the world premiere of the “Not Yet” music video on YouTube tomorrow, June 9. See a teaser of the Seth Kupersmith-directed video HERE. Fans can also tune in tomorrow night as Young presents as part of the star-studded lineup at this year’s CMT Music Awards at 8p/7c.

Young has captured the hearts of fans everywhere through his honest lyrics and West Coast-meets-Southern sound, aptly dubbed “Caliville” style. With an undeniable string of hits, he has cemented his status as country’s master over matters of the heart and with two albums defined by a transcendent romantic spark. The star broadens his emotional scope with his new collection on WEEKENDS LOOK A LITTLE DIFFERENT THESE DAYS, which follows his GOLD-certified sophomore effort.  TICKET TO L.A. debuted atop the Billboard Country Albums chart while his PLATINUM self-titled debut dominated the Top 20 on the Country Albums chart for 37 weeks and contributed to over 5 billion streams globally. He was named ASCAP’s 2018 Country Songwriter-Artist of the Year for his “melodic craftsmanship” (Billboard) and has also garnered nominations from ACM, Billboard, Teen Choice, CMT and CMA Awards as he continues to rack up nonstop hits as “one of country’s most consistent radio stars” (Rolling Stone).
