NASHVILLE, TN (May 3, 2019) – Chart-topping singer/songwriter CARLY PEARCE will appear Tuesday, May 7 on NBC’s TODAY to perform her intimate new single “Closer To You” and reveal nominations for the 2019 CMT Music Awards. The fan-voted show airs LIVE from Music City’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, June 5 at 8:00pm ET/7:00pm CT.

Just last year, she took home Breakthrough Video of the Year for the heartbreaking scenes of “Every Little Thing.” Watch Carly’s thankful acceptance speech: http://www.cmt.com/video-clips/ldb9x3/cmt-music-awards-carly-pearce-honored-with-breakthrough-video-of-the-year-award. The GOLD-certified, No. 1 title track, which steered a trifecta of chart-topping hits on SiriusXM’s The Highway, solidified Carly with the highest charting solo female debut since July 2015 and one of only three to accomplish the feat in the last decade.

She will perform fan favorites from her debut Big Machine Records album as well as a few new tunes out on the road this weekend as Jason Aldean’s RIDE ALL NIGHT TOUR kicks off. The trek follows a co-headline run, plus a stacked 2018 as the only female out with Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Rascal Flatts and select dates with Thomas Rhett.

The Kentucky native picked up iHeartRadio Music Awards Best New Country Artist and ACM Awards New Female Artist of the Year nominations already in 2019, in addition to being featured in the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum’s American Currents: The Music of 2018 exhibit.
