The vivid lyrics offer a universal sentiment of care for those who have lost loved ones with MusicRow observing, “This sweet, touching ballad [is] a lovely wish for a reunion in Heaven that reaches in and touches you deeply. Say ‘amen.’” Leaving his mark on so many in the music industry, busbee was posthumously named ACM Awards Producer of the Year. “such a beautiful way to say goodbye”
Sounds Like Nashville
“heartfelt musical metaphor”
“…resonates in a year where losing someone you love has become all too common. Sweet and sentimental without ever crossing over into maudlin.”
“This song beautifully paints a picture of what Heaven might be like, and that moment when we finally get to meet our loved ones there.”
Performing the tender song first at the Grand Ole Opry in June, “Show Me Around” evokes just how special their friendship truly was following the debut of PLATINUM-certified, No. 1 “Every Little Thing” and CMA Award-winning Musical Event of the Year PLATINUM-certified, No. 1 duet with Lee Brice “I Hope You’re Happy Now.”
Even in a year of personal losses, Carly explains to American Songwriter how “songwriting saved her in 2020” as the “Kentucky native with the fiery voice and the somewhat feisty personality that shows up sonically on every note of her current single ‘Next Girl’ knew that her honesty was going to go far in helping others going through similar situations.”
