HANK WILLIAMS JR.’S IT’S ABOUT TIME CHARTS HIGHEST STUDIO DEBUT IN CAREER HISTORY WITH #2 BILLBOARD TOP COUNTRY ALBUM

NASHVILLE, TN (January 25, 2016) – Hank Williams Jr.’s Nash Icon Records album IT’S ABOUT TIME, available here, achieved his highest studio album peak position with a #2 album on Billboard’s Top Country Albums and broke the Top 10 on Billboard’s Top 200, landing at #8.

“I really have some of the best, most loyal fans out there. I’m thankful they went out and spent their hard-earned money,” Hank Jr. said. “We’ve got a whole slate of dates coming up and I can’t wait to rock with them!”

The success of IT’S ABOUT TIME surpasses Hank Jr.’s 2012 release of OLD SCHOOL, NEW RULES, which, at the time, was his highest debut, charting at #4 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums and #12 on Billboard’s Top 200.

Hank Jr. just wrapped up appearances on “Audience All Access” on AT&T’s Audience Network, “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” CBS This Morning,” “RFD Rural Evening News” and an inspiring performance with Whoopi Goldberg on “The View.

Hank Jr. and his new tour mate Chris Stapleton will co-headline an eight-date tour of amphitheaters across the American south and midwest.

The Country icon will continue promotional efforts for his 37th studio album with an exclusive acoustic performance on SiriusXM’s Prime Country, which will include new IT’S ABOUT TIME tracks along with Bocephus and Hank Williams classics.
