MADDIE & TAE PERFORM PLAYFUL NEW SINGLE “SHUT UP AND FISH” ON LIVE WITH KELLY AND MICHAEL

NASHVILLE, TN (February 12, 2016) – Country music’s hottest new duo Maddie & Tae performed their current single, “Shut Up and Fish” for the first time on national television Thursday morning (2/11) when they appeared on the top-rated Live with Kelly and Michael.

The newest single off of their Dot Records’ debut album START HERE is now available across all retailers and is currently perched in the Top 20 at Country radio. After a date on the lake with two city slickers, the female pair co-wrote “Shut Up and Fish” alongside Pete Sallis and Aaron Scherz. With lyrics like “I was fishin’, he was wishin’ / We were kissin’, I was gettin’ / Madder than a hornet in an old Coke can / Gettin’ closer slidin’ over / Crowdin’ up my castin’ shoulder / Reachin’ out and tryin’ to hold my reelin’ hand,” Maddie & Tae proved they don’t take too kindly to boys who don’t take one of their favorite pastimes seriously.

The CMA Award-winning and Platinum-selling singer/songwriters also made their New York City Fashion Week debut yesterday, attending three top shows – Jay Godfrey, John Paul Ataker and Go Red for Women. The fashion-forward twenty year olds sat front row at Go Red for Women alongside Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush and Miss Universe Olivia Jordan, watching as actresses Lennon & Maisey Stella, ballet dancer Misty Copeland and TODAY co-host Tamron Hall all strutted their stuff on the runway in support of heart disease.

Maddie & Tae have a busy spring ahead of them between festival dates and their opening slot on Lee Brice’s LIFE OFF MY YEARS TOUR. Additionally, they will be performing at the ACM’s Party for a Cause, where they are nominated that weekend in two ACM Awards categories – Vocal Duo or Group, New Vocal Duo or Group.
