NASHVILLE, TN (October 3, 2019) – Singer/songwriter Riley Green brought the party to downtown Nashville last night (10/2), with a sold-out crowd celebrating his debut album DIFFERENT ‘ROUND HERE (BMLG Records) with fans at Ole Red. In partnership with The Opry, he performed an hour set for the lucky crowd who scored tickets to the exclusive event.

To kick off the momentous evening, Riley was honored with a plaque commemorating his debut, chart-topping single “There Was This Girl” officially being RIAA certified GOLD. He celebrated the milestone alongside Big Machine Label Group President/CEO Scott Borchetta and BMLG Records President/CEO Jimmy Harnen at the Ryman Auditorium before taking the stage for night two of a pair of sold-out dates supporting Jon Pardi. Riley had the crowd on their feet singing along to the chart-topper and also received a standing ovation while playing his current single “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” both nights. People praised the song “might take him to a whole new stratosphere.”

One foot planted firmly in his hometown of Jacksonville, AL and the other crisscrossing the country to fulfill his fans insatiable quest for new music, Riley is topping radio charts and becoming an in-demand live performer. Billboard has taken note of the singer’s work ethic stating “Green describes his success as ‘accidental,’ which is perhaps his humble Southern way of saying he simply put in the work the old-fashioned way. No gimmicks, no viral moments, no co-signs from a more established artist, just playing shows — a lot of them.” His music embraces a lifestyle of simplicity and respect that may seem foreign to some, but resonates loudly with Riley and his burgeoning following. Named an “Artist To Watch” by Rolling Stone Country, Taste of Country, Whiskey Riff, Sounds Like Nashville and iHeartRadio – Riley was also selected as a CMT “Listen Up Artist” and one of the MusicRow 2019 “Next Big Things.”

After spending the summer on Brad Paisley’s 2019 WORLD TOUR, Riley is currently headlining his own GET THAT MAN A BEER TOUR while also on Jon Pardi’s HEARTACHE MEDICATION TOUR through the fall and will then embark on Jason Aldean’s WE BACK TOUR in 2020. For a full list of dates and more, visit RileyGreenMusic.com.
