NASHVILLE, TN (August 26, 2020) – Still reeling with news of his ACM Awards win as New Male Artist of the Year, RILEY GREEN readies new music with IF IT WASN’T FOR TRUCKS, a five song EP due September 11 via BMLG Records. These first five songs are a sneak peek at a full-length album coming next year.  Green has spent the last several months back at home in Jacksonville, AL, reminiscing where his love for traditional Country music began. His roots have always been at the forefront of his songwriting, celebrating his small-town upbringing and simplistic lifestyle. These new tracks reflect his early influences with lyrics rooted in nostalgia as the Southern chart-topper delves into the next chapter of his story.

“I’m excited to be releasing the IF IT WASN’T FOR TRUCKS EP. I’ve been using my time off to do a lot of writing and although we can’t play music for fans face-to-face right now, I’m glad I can still share some new music with everyone,” said Green.  “I hope to see everyone back on the road soon.”

Green’s recent achievement follows a nod from iHeartRadio Music Awards for Best New Country Artist, receiving MusicRow’s Breakout Artist of the Year and being selected for the prestigious CRS 2020 New Faces Class. His GOLD-certified hit “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” adds to his GOLD-certified No. 1 “There Was This Girl.”

After spending 2019 on the road with Brad Paisley and Jon Pardi while also headlining his own GET THAT MAN A BEER TOUR, Green kicked off 2020 on Jason Aldean’s WE BACK TOUR. While touring is on pause, he is slated to take the stage at the ACM Awards, airing live September 16 on CBS at 8/7c. Visit RileyGreenMusic.com for more updates.
