LOS ANGELES, CA (September 16, 2021) – On the eve of 29: Written In Stone, CARLY PEARCE performed the lead track from her CMA Awards Album of the Year nominated collection with a debut of “Next Girl” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Watch the ABC late night appearance here.

Carly offers an of-the-moment candor similar to those iconic voices that came before her. On her new album out tomorrow (9/17) via Big Machine Records, she emulates their spirit and appreciates a legacy the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry is now a part of. The chart-topping singer/songwriter from Taylor Mill, Kentucky sat down with Rolling Stone staff writer Samantha Hissong for an intimate conversation and performance at the GRAMMY Museum® in Los Angeles earlier this week to dissect the hurt, vulnerability and resilience these 15 songs symbolize. Carly explains how the title track “opened her heart to write the rest” (see here) and more of the evening will be available this weekend (9/18) as part of their Spotlight Saturdays public programming.

Adding to Album of the Year, Carly celebrates her first nod for Female Vocalist at the CMA Awards on November 10. Foreshadowing the accolades and a new confidence in the music she was born to make, Carly enlisted two-time – and the first female – CMA Musician of the Year Jenee Fleenor to lend her talents on “29.”

The girl who left her Kentucky home and high school at 16 to take a job at Dollywood remains fiercely rooted in the classics. Carly penned “Dear Miss Loretta” for one of her profound influences, expressing a true understanding versus a deep appreciation for Lynn’s pain and life in song, with fellow Kentucky woman Patty Loveless joining the doleful pairing that spans three generations. She doubles down on real Country truth-telling with the double-crossed scorn collaboration “Never Wanted To Be That Girl” alongside Ashley McBryde. Carly not only dissects the human heart through song, but also considers the healing that comes with time.

Carly joins Lady A’s WHAT A SONG CAN DO TOUR this weekend with stops in Phoenix, AZ (9/16); Irvine, CA (9/17) and Mountain View, CA (9/18) — visit CarlyPearce.com for dates.
