New EP, IF WE WERE A LOVE SONG, Out December 8
The Burgeoning Star Makes His Opry Debut January 5
NASHVILLE, TN (November 17, 2023) — Out today via Rebel Music / Geffen Records / The Valory Music Co., rising country artist Kidd G releases “Beautiful Thing,” an emotional ode to small town living. Over gentle guitar picking, the young star paints an image of friends and loved ones while enjoying the simple life. The track will be featured on Kidd G’s forthcoming EP, If We Were A Love Song, out December 8. “Beautiful Thing” arrives alongside an accompanying down-home music video.
“Cool breeze coming through the screen door / wind chimes ringing on the front porch,” Kidd G croons on the soaring, nostalgia-soaked anthem. “First time picking up a six-string / trying to learn the words to Springsteen,” he continues. That sense of idyllic Americana comes through in the accompanying visual, which finds the newcomer soaking up the joys of rural living. He goes hunting, celebrates joyous occasions with friends and family, and performs on stage.
“Beautiful Thing” arrives just one month after Kidd G released his solemn single “Silverado In The Sky,” which was preceded by the infectious “I Don’t Dance,” and the crowd-pleaser “Lesson Learned.” Those songs have been standouts on the Georgia native’s tour, which has been extended into November due to overwhelming demand. More than 30 new dates were added, including stops in major markets such as Nashville, Montreal, and Toronto. Next, Kidd G will make his Grand Ole Opry performance debut on January 5. Tickets are available HERE.
Anyone who follows Kidd G knows his meteoric rise through the ranks has been anything but ordinary. He hit the Billboard Country Charts just a few months after his 17th birthday — which The New York Times called “a study in fluidity.” Kidd G has already gained over 1.5 million followers on TikTok and racked up over 598 total global streams across all releases.
Kidd G ended last year with The Nashville Sessions EP featuring twangy versions of his beloved tracks recorded at the titular town’s legendary Blackbird Studio. Now, with “Beautiful Thing,” he shares another infectious gem that offers listeners some insight into his roots — and hints at more great things to come in December.
